Trinket Selection for End Game Raiding Hunter

    http://www.wowarmory.com/character-s...rissan&n=Zurth Is my armory.

I'd like to ask the question/open a discussion about what is the better 2 combination of trinkets.

    I am currently using:
    http://www.wowhead.com/?item=44253
    http://www.wowhead.com/?item=45286

However the following 2 are being sold by the triumph vendor:
    http://www.wowhead.com/?item=47734 AP
    http://www.wowhead.com/?item=48722 Haste

Essentially what I would like to know is: Is it time to replace my infuser/greatness combo?
    - they say that infuser procs ~ 1min (average) and the AP trinket has a 2 min CD
    - Also, is the haste trinket I have mentioned even hunter material? i.e is the haste gain even comparable to rapid fire?

    Cheer for help

People think it must be fun to be a super genius, but they don't realize how hard it is to put up with all the idiots in the world.

Haste is rather unwanted. Rapid Fire is great because you don't have to sacrifice anything to have it. Also, For every 32.79 points of haste rating you will have 1% faster attack speed at level 80. To match Rapid Fire's 40 % you would need...1311. It's decent but after a certain point, you can't possibly fit anymore Steady's in your rotation due to Chimera/Aimed comming back up before the next would be done. I would advise to stay with current trinkets, but grab a Death's Choice/Verdict if you can to replace Darkmoon. At sufficient levels of Arpen, Grim toll may also be good.

Almost all of what he said was good, except that last part. It depends if his main raiding spec is MM or SV, his armory has him listed as both. Yea haste as a stat is kind of sucky once you reach that 1.5 Steady, (really only need to get 1.6 if you raid with an owlkin or ret paladin) but the ArP thing really only applies to those that are MM. I do agree with sticking with what you have. But look into the future with what you're going to do with that massive loss of hit you're going to have once you do replace it.

I raid both MM and SV. well that clears things up in terms of haste. So as someone said before I think i'll stick to what i have now, cheers guys

In terms of AP proc, there's a thread on elitist jerk saying pyrite infuser will proc more AP per min than mark. But you also have to consider mark is a controlled proc so that means you can proc it during rapid fire. But I would still say the same as above, unless you drastically needs hit(or look good in gearscore), stay with pyrite infuser.

I personaly use Mark of Supremacy with greatness card, armory here,
    http://www.wowarmory.com/character-s...+52&n=Purplenv

If you have the gear to drop a lot of hit, while still having 245 pieces, then IMO this can be a strong trinket to use. It can take a lot of loot swapping however untill you have the gear to make best use of it since there are a lot of great pieces with hit rating too. If you are getting anywhere near 300 hit raiting while using the trinket, you aren't making effecient use of the hit rating, and something else would work better.

I will likely endup with death's choice and greatness trinket so gearing up to make effective use of Mark isn't even the final step.

Hit items currently in my bank to swap back in to get hit back to cap once deaths choice drops:
    Head - Sunreaver 245 for Ony 245
Neck - Ony neck for Unending Tormet 245
Feet - Ruthless Judgement for Warsong 245's

Hoping to acquire a 245 Planestalker band too.

With the frequent need for solid/fast DPS burns I enjoy the ability to control trinket proc's. It's not like it takes more effort when you are macro'n your other cooldowns anyways.

If you were Marks, I'd tell you to not use any of them and use Greatness/Banner and make up the lost hit through Focused Aim.

    Since you're SV, use Pyrite.
