Best / Coolest Alliance Mage

You should have realized going in that you can't mention Alliance on MMO-Champ without overly patriotic hordies getting angry and flaming you.

Besides that, Draenie females are the best looking race-gender combo in the game. I'd suggest them. Gnomes are also cool if you prefer smaller characters, and if you prefer male characters (draenie males are simply too big, in my opinion.) Just avoid humans, they're so boring and kind of ugly.

Gnome racials are the best, that's for sure. I never would roll one though... Really, who could take gnomes seriously?

Human racials aren't that great, but they're the coolest. Human female animations aren't really diverse from each other, but fine. They look pretty though. Human male mages have cool animations, and their sneaky low cast perfectly fits the situation when you're hiding in bushes and chain cast your main nuke in BGs.

Draenei are just meh. I levelled a draenei female mage up to 39, but I didn't really like the concept. They're nice with shields as ele or resto shamans, and in mail, but robes - just boring. And while their healing animations are totally awesome, the other (offensive?) cast animation is just lol. Male draenei? I didn't have one. People say they're ugly, I'd say goofy.

But a guild will love a goat/draenei which helps get that hit to those classes who need it.

Mages don't have hit issues but "free" 0% (worst case) - 5% (best case) hit is nothing to sneeze at.

The hit buff helps ofc, but isnt really needed atm.
Only problem is the casting animation, but just do what I do; Noggenfogger Elixir ftw! ;D

Heroic Presence best case = 5 dds in a group with 1 draenei, each of them 1% undercapped = 5% hit

If your going to do Pvp I suggest Human, as you can then use two Pve trinkets, as apposed to one, but Draenei has a heal, which could also be useful if you don't want to pick up herb (my human has it) although you can take both (gift of the Naru and Lifeblood), If you want. I personally see human one of the best for pvp (because of the free trinket space, which I can use for anything, (like free aoe like I used on my mage at 40 to get those rouges and keep a dot on them) or some more sp burst (what I'm using in both slots atm), etc)

This. Only go space goat if your guild needs one...or if the other draenai is a baddie and dies / runs away from group all the time.

Coolest? Any alliance dead frost mage frozen to death in Storm Peaks/Icecrown.

the worst case would still be 1%, not 0%

0% being the "gain" from your Heroic Precense (=if your a gnome the group still has the buff => no point in you also having Heroic Presence => 0%)

So worst case 0% hit, best case 5%... I would say every raid needs 5 Draenei.
