After a wow break I tried to login just now with my old account but it said the username doesn't exist.

Forum accounts do not get pruned. If you can still see the profile, it still exists.
Tried the "forgot password" link?
Yes, it says the same thing when I enter 'Turboteckel' as the username, "That username does not exist."

Aha. I see the problem. Your username is different from your display name. Basically there's two types of names attached to forum accounts: A username, which you use to log in as, and a display name, which everyone sees you as. Your display name is Turboteckel, but your username is something else Try entering your email in the "forgot password" box instead, it should tell you what your username is.
Ah doh, that should give me a clue. Thanks!
Back in business, sorry for the hassle.
No problem If you want to change your username to avoid future hassle then drop me a PM, but I personally think having a different username than your display name gives you a tiny bit more security over your account.
Yeh, it's fine like this. Just forgot I used my old wowchar's name.
