Sound enabled/disabled on-screen message?

I remember having this feature where a message would display on the screen when i enabled or disabled in-game sound. it's gone now, and I can't figure out how to make it display again.

Anyone know ?

i used to do this alot on accident before i knew how to because my vent push to talk is left ctrl and i finally got frustrated as to why there was no sound and figured it out while trying to run around lol

This is not about how to enable/disable sound with a hotkey!

It is about how to make the message display when you do it. Because for some reason mine stopped displaying.

Used to see that message aswell before. Now I don't see it when I toggle the sound/music. No idea why though.
