How can I best make money as a Jewelcrafter?

Question is in the title, but I'll ask it again:

"How can I best make money as a Jewelcrafter?"

What is the best, surefire way to make money with this profession?

(I'll let it be noted that the professions I have at my disposal are 450 Inscrip, 450 Enchanting, and 450 JewelCrafting)

    buy eternal earth/shadow, craft
    http://www.wowhead.com/?item=43249 or http://www.wowhead.com/?item=43248
depending on prices on the ah, disenchant, be happy

might not work if the prices on your ah are shitty

Probably the best way is to have an alt with Mining / Whatever, and another alt with Alchemy / Herbalism that's transmute spec. An Enchanter works too.

Spend a day mining, prospect your results, and either transmute your gems + eternals into Meta gems, or cut a bunch of rings and necklaces with your green quality gems, send them to your Enchanter and do what you will with them.

Unfortunately, I'm a raider before a money maker, so the Inscrip / JC are there to stay on my warlock. The Enchanting is on my shaman, but maybe I'll grab mining or something on the sham too.

If you have some time, level an alt, Herb/Mining/Skinning, any works

You'll make around 5k gold from quests, and 5k from just leveling and selling what you gathered

Well, one, he can't do that. He doesn't have mining.

Buy gems, cut them into cuts that cost more.

    buy loads of saronite
    prospect it all
use the chalcedony/huge citrine/sun crystal and blood stone to make the jewelcrafting rings. [need to buy eternal earths too]
disenchant all the rings. sell the infinate dust Greater cosmic essense and dream shards.

    get rich .

ive made around 40000k in 1 and a half week doing this

sell the damn epic gems fool.
i sell them things for at least 200g a pop and you don't need the mining or any other special profession for it you can just buy gems easily with badges or honor even if you don't have a cut for the gem you can still sell the uncut ones for about 160g

    Worst advice evar!!!!
Skinning is lame for money making.
The other too are ok but as a raider or anyone who wants a real benifit from professions doesn't take 2 gathering prof's.
Besides JC is the best money maker, if you have the miner or a way to get cheap ore its out of control.

Like was said earlier, makes some rings w/jc'n and de them. GOLD!

Re: How can I best make money as a Jewelcrafter?

What people are saying about buying the Saronite might not be best for the time being, but once 3.3 comes out, the AH is going to get flooded with it again, I can almost promise it.

Personally I'm saving up all the epics that I transmute / prospect from my mining runs and Icy Prisms, cutting them into DPS gems and saving them all for the Tuesday that 3.3 comes out.

    They'll all sell instantly.

Worste piece of advice I've ever heard xD Inscription, JC, Enchanting is the three most profitable profs imo.

You should look up Boubs JC/Inscirptions guides here on MMOC, they are really good.

I don't know about enchanting, in my server Infinite dust has gone as low as 90s each.
And enchants only sell reliably on tuesdays =(.

Re: How can I best make money as a Jewelcrafter?

    IMO:

Buy epic gem recipes, get some tons of uncut gems and follow Kripparrians guide
Download a few addons and et voià, spend few mins at ah, go do whatever you got to do, when you come back to the city, check again ah...and so on.
But, go check guides under the "Guides" section, they are really helpful and all of them are really valuable.

Re: How can I best make money as a Jewelcrafter?

Just a status update since posted: I've spent a majority of my time at the AH, selling gems, prospecting saronite / titanium ore, turning green gems into greens and disenchanting them.

I've gone from 2.5k to 9.8k with about 7k worth of items in the AH in a few days.

    -=Edit=-

Once I get to around 20k, I'm going to invest some money into buying titanium powder and getting at least one epic cut for each gem that I feel sells for the most.
