Welcome, this is my first guide criticism is welcome but please just don’t be an ass (:

Ok so this guide assumes you already have a main and you know what your doing or it might take you more time, im also using crafted gear because with this gear you can tank 10 toc/25 toc depending on what ur servers minimum hp requirement is. The health in this guide also includes + 60 stam from mining so please don’t add that in again.

If you don’t have money for the crafted gear there is always the ilvl 213 valor badge gear in boots + bracer slot

Justification On gems/enchants

Gems:

Q: Why the yellow 10def/15stam in the helm?
A: Because for pally t8.5 helm it’s a +12 stam bonus so you get 10def/27stam

Q: Why the red 10agi/15stam in the chest?
A: To activate the meta, and agi is a all round better stat then dodge for threat + mitigation/avoidance

Enchants:
Q: Why 18 stam to shield and its lower budget point then def?
A: because this gear set puts u just under 35k Unbuffed so no-one should say your not geared enough.

Q: Why Stam/resi pvp enchant on shoulders
A: same as above, because this gear set puts u just under 35k Unbuffed so no-one should say your not geared enough.

Gear:

Q: Why the Jc crafted Ring?
A: Because its faster to get then the 25 badge ring im trying to give you a guide that quick and ez.

Tanking Ony on 10man is very easy. Neither Ony, nor her adds hit hard. The Head of Onyxia from 10 and 25 are the same and offer the exact same quest rewards. That trinket should not be difficult to obtain.

True that a tank COULD potentially tank them, but the problem lays with the the whoel gearscore fad and that tanks are typically required to havea certain amount of HP and the like before they are allowed to do instances (According to the pugs anyway).

If the tank was in a guild or something, yah they would probably take him, but a pug? I doubt it.

Few corrections.

Peacekeeper blade socket bonus should be ignored. Also, it should have an enchant (preferably blade ward).
Shield enchant should be titanium plating.
Glove enchant should be stamina.
Wyrmguard legplates should be avoided at all costs, I realize this is hard to do with just badge gear.
Spiked deathdealers socket bonus should be met.

Saronite swordbreakers are a 60 triumph badge investment. Unless you buy the orbs separately. If that's the case, I advise getting the breastplate of the white knight first as it's a stronger play, but this is a list of items that are reasonably obtainable from heroics. For other crafted items you may want to include indestructible plate girdle, as it's the best belt before 245 level gear.

Spending a few triumph's isn't unreasonable either. The ring is only 35 badges and very damn good for current content. Likewise the non-set shoulders are better then 232 tier.

Considering how low your defense is, I would say relying on the Ony trinket for def cap is a fairly weak move. While we do end up using lower item budget health enchants at high gear levels, enchanting defense at this gear range is acceptable. Fixed chardev link here. You gain about 1.5k health making these changes and using a brewfest trinket instead.

The bile brewfest trinket.

This is dropped off Coren Direbrew as part of a daily quest during the Brewfest season. (as of 2009)

brewfest is once a year so the ppl that missed it how are they meant to obtain it?

I know the other shoulders are better then the set but im going for a quick gearing atm already there is 30 (shoulder)+ 19(libram) thats nearly 50 already without doing toc raids so its gonna take them a while thats why i didint include the ring + 45 badge shoulders

Also i did mention this guide is based on if u had a main, as i quit when toc came out just came back and lvled a pally my friends main has 202 triumph so anyway to get the orbs, also orbs have dropped in price now as prob 3.3 is out next week they dropped 150g in a day

Niether of those enchants are really that good :-\ on weapons:
Accuracy wins for DPS and TPS
Mongoose for avoidence and decent threat
Blood Draining is best for psedo-EH
EDIT: Blade ward IS most avoidence but it has the problem of scaling negativly with your gear.

Shields, you either want 22 defence or 18 stam, because of how badly BV scales (anub 25hc adds not withstanding) for EH plating is only useful for a lolzheroics setup.
