Suggestion:

PLEASE change it, so that you instantly get to the first post on the first site.

When I'm on the frontpage and I click on a thread, I do it, because the thread title sounds interesting and I wonder what the op is talking about.

And I guess this is the reason for most of the clicks, because the title of the thread sounds interesting.

It is really annoying to land on page XYZ, post xyz, because 95% of the time you have to scroll down (or up) and click on [1] to understand what the thread is about.

It is not a big deal, but the more threads you visit like this, the more annoying it gets. >

While I agree with you both it does say Latest Post.
Going to the first post would be more convenient.

Yeah, not going to happen, I guess.

I (We?) don't care what the last person is saying, when I don't know what the previous posters were talking about.
