Upgrading my Tank Gear

Hey guys, I recently started playing my Prot Warrior again and got him to level 80 on Sunday.

I'm currently not too sure what I should do about replacing some of my gear. Here's my armory:

I'm trying to compile a list of upgrades purchasable with emblems, and the order which I should try to obtain them, so far it goes something like this:

1) Bracers - Not sure what to do about upgrading them because it seems Saronite Sword Breakers (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=47570) would be my best bet, even though I'd break the bank crafting them.

2) Helm - I wasn't really sure where to put this on the list, since I would like to get Faceguard of Wrath (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=49320) from Ony, but if I don't get that soon, I'll just get Wrynn's Greathelm of Conquest (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=48429)

3) Neck or Cloak - I would like to get Eskhandar's Choker (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=49306) from Ony, but if that doesn't happen them I would be fine with Shard of the Crystal Forest (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=45821). It seems for cloak I don't have much choice besides Platinum Mesh Cloak (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=40722)

4) Trinket - There seem to be a lot of options as far as trinkets go, so I'm open to suggestion on this one.

5) Ring - Signet of Impregnable Fortress (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=40718) seems to be an alright replacement for what I currently have.

I feel that I'm getting a lot of items which have unnecessary amounts of hit on them for a prot warrior. I understand that hit is an incredibly important stat for DW DK tanks, but I feel like I'm wasting stat weight on hit when it would be better was an avoidance stat. Obviously it's good to have hit rating for threat generation, but as a Prot warrior I feel like 139 hit is a bit overkill, especially when my parry is somewhat low.

Any input would be much appreciated since I don't even know if what I've listed is in a good order, or if the items I chose are even my best options (for quality of loot and ease of purchase).

if you want to gear up without spending money:

do the original lich king heroics via the random dungeon tool until you have the tanking drops. The drops you get from the heroics will be alright to get you going, but at the same time you will be earning emblems of triumph with which you can buy high ilevel gear. at the same time see if you can get in a pug as an offtank for nax10/sarth10/ulduar10 you can get some better drops there.

Once you have got moderate tanking gear from the above you can farm the tanking drops from toc5, and once you've got all those you can farm the tanking gear out of the 3 new instances.

I'd fix your spec a little, shift a couple of points around to fillup Toughness and Impale, which are both important.

http://www.codeplex.com/Rawr can help you out with ideas for gearing.. Filter out the instances you don't think you have access to and it will provide you with a list of gear upgrades, how good they are relatively, and where they come from.

It seems like you put a lot of thought into specific pieces, you can take advantage of the iLvL232 drops from the new heroics when you feel comfortable tanking them and farm that place for a while, the neck there http://www.wowhead.com/?item=50310 is nice if you don't want to drop badges on one. Haven't really memorized any other drops but check the loot lists from the new heroics and keep running the old heroics for Triumph badges so you can buy Triumph level gear, not a Valor ring or Conquest neck, if you can avoid it... Take advantage of the highest tier you can.

Also about hit rating, it's still pretty good all the way up through about 264 for more AoE threat (Tclap,Shockwave) making sure taunts land, and affecting every other ability you use on single target threat.
