well im unsure on what to get , do i go for 2 bits now to get the 2pce set bonus (got 124 badges) .. going to be some time before i can upgrade then with the tokens as im low on epgp ( this is the system we use in the guild )

I was talking to Strykie ingame and turns out that using legs is better than gloves, as seen in this post - http://www.shadowpriest.com/viewtopic.php?f=62&t=24768, BiS gearset for icc non-hardmodes http://www.wowhead.com/?profile=19501640.

Also i did some simcraft myself and this is what i came up with BiS for hardmode gear - http://www.wowhead.com/?profile=20639069, personally my guild runs DKP so i wont be buying any normal mode gear (aside from tokens) so this is the gear ill start getting come hardmodes.

@ people reading this, make sure you set out a gearset for yourself, its a good way to judge what items to get and what to pass on rathar than simply getting items and a few upgrades later realising you cant use it due to not having enough hit for example.

I have gone with the shoulders first as I agree like many others the Ony helm is just as good until I have emblems spilling from my pockets, which I currently dont!

I will get the chest next, then, maybe the helm, as my luck the legs/hands will drop in VoA just after i get them.

BUT, has anyone noticed the T10 has NO spirit for shadow.... I guess the SP etc is factored into the gear, but I think it will affect mana regen on longer fights.

I think we'll have to see in practice what hasted dots + the loss of 2p T9 does to shadow mana, but with prudent fiend usage, I don't think it will be a problem. And most any long boss encounter will have some time to use dispersion if you really need it.

I like the look of the helm and the stats, as Ive never gotten the Ony helm. Ill keep on trying though, sigh.

with hardmodes ruled out and already having crafted pants should i go for 4P or 2P?

the 4P bonus being good enough to make taking non set peices pointless?

Go for 4P t10, its an amazing set bonus. You can use crafted legs in your 4set, using gloves from ICC, you will only lose around 50-100 dps if your in full ICC gear, so to be honest isnt too much.

thanks thats what i seem to be getting from most discussions about gearing but i wasnt totally sure either way as the T10 hands seem to be a lil crappy and ive never been a big set getter in the past as i always seem to end up getting a good non set peice n then skipping it for some reason or another
