    Idea for changes that would balance us (ret mainly & some holy/prot tweaks)

    Had most of these ideas back in early wrath but i have kept them up to date & changes them to fit with the way our talents/spells currently work. This rebalance changes some talents/spells as well as deleting some & adding others in order to make the way we work as a class more in line with what is needed with the game currently as well as make our damage more active & less passive. http://www.war-tools.com/t64334.html?b=9zyxg

    The following talents & spells have been deleted
    Eye for an Eye, Seal of Command, Reckoning, Blessing of Sanctuary, exorcism & Divine Shield
    Also the forbarance debuff duration from using divine shield, hand of protection, lay on hands, avenging wrath & divine protection has been lowered to a 30 second duration.


    New talents added are the following

    "Sanctuary" Your blessing of kings now grants the target sanctuary reducing damage taken from attacks by 3% and granting them 2% of there maximum mana whenever they block dodge or parry.

    "Divine Reckoning" Gives you a 6-13-20% chance after being attacked that your next 2 weapon swings within 8 seconds will generate an additional attack.

    "Commanding Strike" Instantly strike the target and its closest ally (in melee range) dealing 65% weapon damage on each of them. Commanding Strike has a 6 second cool down & shares a cool down with crusader strike and hammer of the righteous.

    "Divine Retribution" While active your divine protection will reflect 10-20% of the damage it absorbs back at the attacker as holy damage (this damage cannot exceed 50% of your maximum health.

    "Divine silence" instantly consume the art of war to interrupt the targets spell casting & prevent any spell in that school from being cast for the next 2 seconds. (15 second cool down)

    Changes to current spells include

    "Lay on Hands" now has a 5 minute cool down heals the target for for 1/4 your maximum health & restores 1920 of their mana.

    "Hand of Freedom" now has a 30 second cool down & a duration of 6 seconds.

    "Divine Protection" has been changed, it now has a 2 minute base cool down & will remove all physical, magic, poison, curse & disease effects active on the paladin when activated. (does not prevent new ones from being applied)

    "Hammer of Justice" now has a 30 second base cool down but has had its stun duration reduced to 4 seconds.

    "Crusader Strike" Has been changed it now can be learned by all specs at lvl 20 has a 6 second cool down & deals 100% weapon damage, however it now also shares a cool down with commanding strike & hammer of the righteous.


    Changes to talents include

    "Seals of the Pure" now increases all seal & judgment damage by 3-6-9-12-15%.

    "Vindication" is now applied by judgments and will now lower the total attack & spell power of the target by 6-12% for the next 10 seconds.

    "Pursuit of Justice" has been changed, now when you cast hand of freedom on yourself you will gain an additional 10-20% run speed for the spells duration, in addition the duration of all disarm effects used against you is reduced by 25-50%.

    "Divine Purpose" has been changed it now causes your hand of freedom, blessings, seals, Divine protection & righteous fury to have an extra 50-100% dispel resist when you cast them on yourself in addition your hand of freedom will now have a 50-100% chance to remove stuns from its target.

    "Crusade" has been changed, it now increases all damage the paladin deals by 2-4-6% and decreases the mana cost of consecrate by 10-20-30%.

    "Sanctity of Battle" has been changed, it now increases the damage of crusader strike & commanding strike by 5-10-15% and increases your critical chance with all attacks & spells by 1-2-3%.

    "The Art of War" has been changed, it now increases the damage you deal with judgments & all special melee attacks by 5-10%, in addition whenever a judgment or melee attack (special or auto attack) critically strikes you gain the art of war proc giving you a 50-100% chance to make your next flash of light instant or allow the use of your hammer of wrath regardless of the targets health.

    "Fanaticism" now increases your critical strike chance with all melee attacks & spells by 2-4-6% and reduces threat generated by 10-20-30%.

    "Sanctified Wrath" no longer increases the use of your hammer of wrath, it now causes your damage to bypass 25-50% of damage reduction effects when avenging wrath is active & increases your attack power by 1 for each point of armor penetration you have however your armor penetration is reduced to 0%.

    "Improved Hammer of Justice" now increases the stun duration of your hammer of justice by 1-2 seconds.

    "Sacred Duty" now increases your stamina by 4-8% and reduces the damage you take from your hand of sacrifice & divine sacrifice spells by 8-15%.

    "Holy Shield" now increases your block chance by 30% for 10 seconds of 8 blocks & causes holy damage equal to half your spell power whenever you block with it active.

    "Blessed Life" now causes all attacks to have a 6-13-20% chance to do 25% less damage to you.

    "Purifying Power" Now reduces the mana cost of your beacon of light, cleanse & purify by 5-10%. In addition your consecrate now heals up to 4 friendly targets who stand in its effect radius.

    "Divine Guidance" now increases the damage absorbed by your divine protection by 10-20-30-40-50% & increases your spell power by 4-8-12-16-20% of your intellect.


    Lastly i realize that some changes may need to be made to keep retribution damage acceptable that can easily be remedied by tweaking seal damage.
    The way balancing for WOW PVP works is allot like American politics.
    1: Be lazy & ignore problems till the yelling is so loud your cant concentrate.
    2: Refuse to do the things you have Said need to be done, then make up reasons why they cannot be done.
    3: Lay the blame for problems on someone else even when it's your fault because you did all of the above.

    The new Divine Protection should work like IBF- that is, offer a flat 20% damage reduction, no longer cause Forbearence, and the amount of damage reduction scales with defense to offer 50% damage eduction (This might be hard to balance with Cata: However, they will have to scale AD somehow with Tanks as well, so this would follow suit).

    "Class Buffs" like Fort, MotW, AI, BoM, etc will be 100% immune to Dispell mechanics in 4.0, so that benefit from HoF is not needed.

    Blizzard wants to step away from "mandatory" talents like Crusade, Sanc. of Battle, etc

    Didn't know they were making class buffs immune to dispels though i knew they had mentioned buffing their dispel resist atleast slightly.

    As far as giving us an actual interrupt & a more reasonable way to close gaps though I don't ever see them giving us one unless we give up the full immunity bubble. & that's something that many of us would gladly do for more useful short cool down mechanics because we are tired of having IWIN buttons that are godly vs some classes & situations but complete crap in others.
