Just started on my Priest.

So I have an 80 Mage as my main and an 80 DK as my tank alt. Ive decided to roll Priest for healing and have a few questions id like to ask.

The guide that's stickied says I should go for the heirloom staff but im going to be leveling as a healer in random LFGs. Should I go for the Mace or the Staff? Another question I have is should I go Holy or Disc for healing random LFGs?

(Bare in mind I have absolutely no clue about Priests at the minute ><)

I would go for the staff as there is no Heirloom off-hand ingame atm :<
And go holy for low lvl healing, disc is shit before penence :P

After Meditation, Discipline wins because of the regen, when going straight Holy early on sucks.

I'd say Discipline would be better, atleast until you get Dual Spec (then go Disc/Shadow IMO). Disc is far more diverse, covering solo, group or pvp. Granted, you'll do better with targeted specs for any of the three, but as a catch all, disc will get you to 80 if your desire is to heal.

I believe +30 SP is the best caster enchant that has no level requirement.
