    Mage Soloing

    I was wondering what can a mage solo as far as instances and old raids. Can they solo zg mount bosses.

    Mages can solo anything that is kiteable.

    Pretty much. Don't think that you would realistically be able to kite the raptor mount boss, and the tiger mount boss wouldn't work because they cast silences, blinds, and one heals the others. Maybe if you have a geared tank friend you could duo it without a healer. You should be able to blow them up before they kill you both.

    I know there is a guide somewhere to soloing instances as a mage. The main things are using a hybrid frost arcane spec - glyph of evocation - so you can icy veins evocate to restore like all your health.. Ice barriers etc.

    I'm at work, so I havent watched it, but I bet this video about how to solo level 60 onyxia as a mage has some good pointers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tRGw6FGVmmQ
