    how to balance pvp

    warrior - take unrelenting assualt to 30%, cut the last ww off bladestorm. prot lower ap coeff of revenge, conc, shockwave (scale with def)
    warlock - have to be in los of demonic circle in order to teleport to it, increase the range in which u can, lower afflic's damage
    shaman - wolves do less healing, earthbind's slow is removed once the totem is killed. increase mana cost of ghost wolf, increase mana tide's health
    druid - feral instant cyclones only cyclone for 75% of normal duration, but slow the target after it is over.
    rogue - envenom needs to do alot less damage now that deadly isnt removed. dismantle is taken out of prep glyph.
    mage - switch the glyph of poly to make it a .5 sec cast, make it give mana as well as health.
    paladin - increase the holy hock cd, lower the base cast time of fol.
    dk - give chains of ice a cd or make it a regular slow. loswer the slow effect of desecration
    priest - glyph of shadow fiend - for the first couple of seconds the shadow friend is enraged cant be cc'ed and does 20% more damage. increase cast time of mana burn. penance/flash heal renews the duration of renew.
    hunter - increase scatter shot's cd, lower their dodge, make entrapment longer

    hey so interesting news, straight from the devs: balancing is now more about trying to put classes into useful slots for new comps, rather than just wiffle batting classes up and down.

    How to properly balance PvP in an MMO:
    A guide for game developers...

    Step one,
    Every class must have exactly the same abilities, you can change the names according to class, but that may result in complaints eg: "The Mage's Fireball is weaker than a Paladin's Ball of Fire! please nerf Pallys!"

    Step two,
    Every class must be able to equip exactly the same gear, Priests can equip Plate, along with Warriors and everyone else. That way no one feels like they are squishier than another class.

    Step three,
    Remove all stats from gear, make it completely cosmetic. This way no one complains about someone else's gear being better than their own and everyone just uses base stats.

    Step four,
    Change all abilities in the game to do nothing but a visual effect, except for auto attack which will be the only ability that will do any kind of damage.

    Step five,
    Remove all RNG from the game by making auto attack's damage a static 1 damage every 2 seconds, unable to miss or crit, and unable to be dodged, blocked, or parried.

    Step six,
    Remove all races and create one single race called Blob, you can change it's color between Red, Green, and Blue.

    Step seven,
    Remove all classes except Warrior.

    Step eight,
    Allow a regeneration rate of 1 health every 2 seconds which increases as your health lowers to a rate of 100 health per second.


    This way every player can fight another player with exactly the same abilities, and you'll never have to worry about getting killed by a player with more skill than you because no one will be able to get 200 players together for a single kill in PvP (partially because the only people playing would be whiners from other MMOs who wouldn't have the skill to get 200 players together, let alone get them all to attack the same thing).

    The only real way to balance PvP is to have one class with no random variables such as crits, resistance, or misses.

    Yes, because that automatically means that if this change happened blizzard wouldn`t up the threat to still be in line with what it was before.

    Blizzard stated that they wanted to move away from raising the threat generation of abilities.

    because revenge, conc and shockwave dmg is what makes a prot warrior a threat in pvp right?

    not because they can silence/stunlock and cause burst with shieldslams? while having shitloads of survivability and extremely high mobility?

    IMO the only way to balance PvP is to make my class the most OP one out there. Pretty sure that's the only way to make most ppl happy.
