    How bad is Elemental Shaman Tier 10?

    I'll tell you how bad.

    - So bad that Blizzard nerfed our T9 4-piece set bonus by 50-100% to force us to use T10. (Yes, 100%; as the entire set bonus relies on a DOT, if the DOT is unable to tick, you lose 100% of the set bonus' value.)

    - So bad that it has just been mathematically proven that the T10 4-piece set bonus is inferior to other obtainable gear; e.g, Elemental Shaman BIS will only wear 2 pieces of T10.

    - So bad that the T10 2-piece set bonus, listed here: http://www.wowhead.com/?itemset=893 , doesn't work. Instead, your Elemental Mastery spell's cooldown will be increased by ***7 DAYS***. You cannot reset the cooldown at all; not by entering a Skirmish, resetting your addons, changing specs, unequipping and equipping gear, or equipping Glyph of Elemental Mastery. None of it works. Any Elemental Shaman who was excited to get their T10 2-piece today (yeah, I just love getting gear that is inferior to gear I was wearing in 3.2) now cannot use Elemental Mastery for a week. Awesome!

    Great job, Blizzard. I thought that Elemental Shamans were being ignored--how wrong I was! Now I'm even lower on the bottom of the DPS charts than I used to be, thanks to your efforts! Thanks!

    You know how long it took me to discover this bug? Almost 2 hours. How long were the 3.3 PTRs up? How long have we waited to be able to get 2 pieces of Tier 10? What was the PTR even for? How in the world did this massive, class-breaking bug manage to slip through the cracks? --Oh, wait, that's right. I'm a Shaman.

    What do Onyxia, Wintergrasp quests and Elem Shammies have in common ? A SEVEN DAY RESET TIMER !

    At least we'll make history with the largest skill cooldown ever, it beats arcanite transfo by 3 days.

    The 7 day CD isn't exclusive to EM. A priest in my guild specced out of Guardian Spirit for that very reason.

    Examples of other people having the same bug. I hope you don't mind the ruckus I'm making about this--I'm just very concerned when (or even if) it will be fixed. Blizzard tends to ignore Shamans for YEARS at a time (for example, it took them 4 years to do the first Elemental Shaman buff) and I don't want to be sat on Heroic Icecrown because one of my abilities doesn't work.

    It'll get fixed. Hell, wouldn't surprise me if it was done before the next maintenance. On the other hand, it also wouldn't surprise me if their "fix" just made the 2pc bonus inert until they could actually come up with something better.
