Not happy with my DPS and Trinket Question

I see myself a average gear shadow priest but I'm only clocking up 3200 DPS on target dummy. Should I be getting more? I have followed the sticky thread with spell rotation quite good at it. Just want any opinions please

Also I need another trinket bad. I'm thinking about getting http://www.wowhead.com/?item=48724. My guild mate said I should get this one though http://www.wowhead.com/?item=47734. Bit confused what one I should get.

You only have 8% hit. You should be able to get more T9, go go go. When you swap your Legs over, get SP+Spirit.

To make proper checks, we need to see your logs/recount. My Shadow OS hits about 4.7k+ on dummies. I'd move two points from Focused Mind to Imp. VE as I love my raid, but that's just me.

both those trinkets are not ideal in fact they're just down right bad. replace embrace the spider with abysal rune from normal 5m toc, easy to get. PoS trinket is dang nice but not as easy to get. Trinket iLvl doesn't really mean much. Eye of broodmother (from razorscale) with sundial/mitheral pocket watch is still one one of the best combos until ICC/PoS

replace your pvp gear with T9, i think should get you to 289 hit, get the t9 pants,the helm is not all that good. Instead for head either get the badge one (don't remember what its called butithink its 75 badges) or the helm from Ony.

seems like you are on track as far as gems/chants

Professions...don't think i've ever seen chant/herb combo. Maybe drop Herb for JC if you got the gold to powerlvl it.

one think i did with a toon was to get into a icc farm run to get friendly for my ring. the caster dps has some nice stats.

Get 4pc with legs, that'll bring u closer to hit cap.
Try to get friendly with ashen verdict with rep farming, shld take 4 trash clears.

Your Dps isn't that bad for the gear that you have.

Are the two trinkets you talked about the ones I'm wearing or the two that cost emblems that are bad?

This is because the way dot's benefit from proc's. Dot's will directly benefit from SP gains, however haste & crit gains they will only benefit from if they are present at the time of casting. So haste/crit procs are not good. Haste/crit use: effects are though because you can control those.

PS. if you use Nevermelting Ice Crystal and cast SWP directly after and keep it refreshed with MF it keeps the 20% crit all the time.(but you prolly knew this)

Easy question first...

Neither trinket is appealing... i'm a bit concerned that you thought an Int trinket was useful at all... the hit trinket is really an item for those who have a majority of healing gear that want to occasionally do some damage... other than that you get to the hit cap naturally from gear more than easily.

Harder question...

The sticky tells you to analyse your cast sequence to ensure you are reaching the theroetical max number of spell casts. It also says to disregard your DPS figure, considering your post does neither I suggest you haven't read the sticky terribly well.

as far as trinket, embrace the spider isn't too bad but the abyssal rune from normal toc 5man is better. get a farm group you'll get it fairly quickly. You can also try to get a ulduar 10m razor scale run to get eye of broodmother. I agree get the ony helm if you can, i never did get it to drop I went with the spirit badge helm.

Your pvp ring, replace it with the ashen verdict ring. find a icc rep grind group and run it a bit. you'll have it pretty quick

my general opening for raid bosses is VT->MB->MF->DP->SW:P->Shadow Fiend
