Upcomeing Bryntroll nerff?will Shadow Edge be better?

If they give it a hefty eternal CD i don't think it will top Shadows edge, and with 2p10 think that extra weapon damage and stats will make the difference. Or i could be wrong.

What do you guys think?

Bryntoll is only giving obscene numbers with Ret Paladins and Unholy DK's due to a bug. It's a static 3-5% for most warriors, and Frost/Blood DK's. So they probably won't nerf it.

I think that Bryntoll heroic will be better than Shadow Edge, but until then, Shadow Edge might be better than normal version.

Before saying anything, let's see what they'll nerf

For paladins? No it doesn't. There is even discussion that heroic Bryntroll will be better than Shadowmourne for ret, but comparing 264 Bryntroll to 264 Shadow's Edge, Bryntroll wins.

Not after the nerf it doesn't. Shadowmourne pulls ahead by about 60 DPS on single target.

afaik some guys on EJ forum it has been nerfed aka fixed. best thing atm would be testing it yourself.

It was fun while it lasted, but Drain Life no longer procs on a SoV proc or SoV stack refresh. It still procs off of RV application/refresh, Judgement debuff. Essentially a 386.91 DPS nerf for Bryntroll.

Shadow's Edge now wins by 65 DPS on a single target encounter.

It's just not any pally. It's one that has provided reliable information previously. I bet you visited EJ before and gemmed/enchanted/changed your spec according to their calculations without testing it yourself. If we start to question reliable posters and just act on what we tested ourselves, we'd never get anything done. So yes, for now i am inclined to believe EJ.
After all, i am regularly visiting mmo-champion and tend to believe what boub posts, it's not like i am in direct contact with his sources.

AFAIK, Heroic Bryn'tol was never ahead of Shadowmourne. Ever!!! And I have been looking at BiS lists, srpeadsheets, and toying with rawr since 3.3 ptr.
