Tanking: Def above 540

In my offspec as a tank, I'm currently DWing Black Icicles as Frost.
However, I'm Runeforging both weapons with Nerubian Carapace. Would I be better going for more DPS with Fallen Crusaders on them? What does Defense over the cap do?

My stats with HoW only are (with Fallen Crusader in brackets):

HP: 33.1k (32.6k)
Def: 572 (546)
Dodge: 28% (25.5%)
Parry: 20.5% (19%)

How do you think I should 'Forge my weapons?

Being over the minimum basically means that you increase your dodge and parry percentages.

EveryPoint Defense is 0.06% Avoidance.

So the Nerubian Carpace runes would be 1,5% Avoidance. And alot Stamina.

Def also adds chance to be missed, along with dodge and parry.

If you feel comfortable with your current stats, go FC/RI or FC/Swordbreaking, or SB/SB. Judging by the stats you posted, I'd go FC/Nerubian or SB/Nerubian
