2x 23 SP or go for socket bonus? My specc is 56/0/15.
I think I've read somewhere that you need at least 5 SP Bonus per each socket to make going for bonuses worthwhile. Is that right?

I would to that. Not sure if that's the best option for maximum dps though.

i socketed 3x23sp with belt buckle in mine running affliction, i dont think +7sp is worth it for socketing a 12sp/10spirit gem if u alrdy have 2 for meta gem.

I would go 3x23 sp gems. If you matched sockets, you'd probably see around a +/- 2-5 dps.

Match sockets if its cheaper. its the same amount of output if you go all runed or purified/reckless/runed.

When I obtained that item I ran some scaling-calculations, and going for the socket bonus beats 23sp gems by about 2 dps, as affliction that is.

As a reference, 2 dps is about the same as the bandwidth decrease caused by Adobe or LG doing a software auto-update check.
