    Your 10 man setup

Greetings. Just got interested in what kind of setups do people use around the servers.
    Here's ours:

    Prot pala
    Bear
    Holy pala
    Holy priest
    Boomkin/Resto dru
    Hunter
    Warlock
    Retri pala
    Rogue
    UH dk

This isn't what you call a perfect setup, but still. Have been running 10mans for 3-4 months already and performing fairly well I'd say.

    Re: Your 10 man setup

    we're lucky, we normally run 2 teams, but for the begining of icc we've made one mega-team which has an awesome set of buffs we cycle people out (one week on, one week off kinda thing) but this is what we normally run with;

    Prot Warrior
    Prot Pally
    *Bear

    Combat Rogue
    Arcane Mage
    Marksmanship Hunter
    Demonology Warlock
    Boomkin
    *Retri Pally
    *Enhancement Shammy

    Resto Shammy
    Resto Druid
    Holy Priest
    *Disc Priest

    Re: Your 10 man setup

    Protection warrior
    Protection paladin

Disc/holy priest, depends on the encounter
    Holy paladin

    Demo/destruction warlock
    Arcane mage
Rogue of some spec, never really looked.
    Retribution paladin
    Moonkin
    Elemental Shaman (me)

    Re: Your 10 man setup

We also got 2-3 teams running, so some replacements are made once in a while.

We try to keep an "A-team" of the same ppl, just to "scout" the terrain be4 we move in with the 25 man team

    Setup:

    Prot Pala
    Prot Warr

    Holy Pala
    Holy/Disc. Priest
    Resto/Balance Drood

    Enh. Shaman
    MM Hunter
    Demonology Lock
    Feral Drood
    Arc. Mage

    Re: Your 10 man setup

    Prot Paladin
    Blood DK

    Fury Warrior
    Arcane Mage
    Aflli/Destro Lock
    Balance Druid
    Marks/Surv Hunter

    Shadow/Disc Priest
    Resto/Ele Shaman
    Holy Pala

Specs vary depending on encounter but the people stay the same apart form the occasional trips or sick days. This group is more about the people playing than the class/spec combinations and as such even 2 people away might call for a cancelled raid. Doing 10man achievements and waiting for icc hc to open up.

    Re: Your 10 man setup

I run strict 10-mans, some weird hybrid of casual and hardcore. This makeup has worked decently well for us, we've downed Putricide and should get Blood Queen this week.

    Prot Warrior
    Prot Paladin

    Holy Paladin (sometimes Ret)
    Resto druid
    Resto shaman (sometimes ele)

    Shadow priest
    Warlock
    Hunter
    Hunter
    Kitty druid

    Re: Your 10 man setup

Prot pala and warr looks popular

    We use
    Prot pala
    Prot Warr

    Holy/Disc Priest
    Holy paladin

    Ret pala
    Fury warr
    Enh shammy
    MM hunter
    Mage or Lock

Then either a holy/ret pala or a ele shammy

    Re: Your 10 man setup

if you needs a perfect setup i would probaly take each class out and see what buffs they gives each. i would probaly go with this here setup:

    2 Tanks:
    Death Knight
    Paladin

    2 Melee:
    Rogue
    Feral Druid

    3 Ranged:
    Ele shaman
    Hunter
    Warlock

    3 Healers:
    Paladin
    Shaman, with OS dps
Priest, with both a disc and a holy spec ready

    my own grp consists of:

    Prot Warrior
    Blood tanking DK (me)

    Healers are:
    resto druid
    resto shaman
    holy pala

    dps:
    hunter
    warlock
    ele shaman
    feral druid
    shadow priest
Death Knights never fell to Arthas. We are the once to make him fall!

    Re: Your 10 man setup

We got the worst setup ever coz noone forced/told anyone to reroll anything, we just let everyone roll what they preferred (10 IRL-buddy-guild)... still up and working on Festergut with 1 raid a week, so we're not hopeless!

    Prot-Pally (me)
    Prot-Warrior

    Resto-Shammy
    Disc/Holy-Priest

    Mutilate-Rogue
    Blood-DK
    Affliction-Warlock
    Arcane-Mage
    Arcane-Mage
    Arcane-Mage

Yay for 3 copies (although when all pop Mirror Images, we kinda feel like a 25man raid)! All castergear is very sought after while we DE all dps-mail by default while our rogue gets awesome bows for free! :P

    Re: Your 10 man setup

    Prot Pally
    DK

    Resto Sham
Disc / holy priest (dual spec)
    Holy pally

    Fury war
    Hunter

The rest of the dps changes.

    Re: Your 10 man setup

    tanks
    prot warri
    feral druid / tankdruid

    dps:
    rogue
    2hunter
    unholy / blood DK
    elemental shaman

    heal:
    heal / retpala
    ele / restoschami
    holy / disci priest

some switch specs depending on encounter

a bit physical intensive, but it works

    Re: Your 10 man setup

    Prot Pally
    Bear Druid

    Rogue
    Ret Pally
    Enhance Shaman
    Affliction Warlock
    Boomkin

    Holy Pally
Resto Shaman (with elemental off spec)
    Resto Druid

Every raid buff accounted for in some fashion, except for the "added HP buff" from a Warlock's Imp or Warrior Shout. Stam is from Runescrolls, and Spirit & Int are from the Felhunter. The Resto Shaman goes Elemental in fights that are easily two-healed (Gunship & Saurfang in particular).
Mercy has no meaning to me.
Common Sense and Common Courtesy should both be renamed; neither are very common anymore.

    Re: Your 10 man setup

I'd probably base this on a ToGC10 group, keeping the Champions in mind.

    Tanks:
    Prot Warrior
    Prot Paladin

    Healers:
Resto Shammy (more totems) // Holy Pala (More Blessings)
    Resto Druid
    Disc Priest

Either one of these needs to have a wellgeared dps offspec. I'd prefer a Feral dps/tank, because that way we can rotate around if we need specific buffs. Second I'd like a Shadow Priest offspec and maybe as third choice an Ele shammy/Enh shammy for 2x totems.

    DPS:
Ele Shaman (me) - Totems, Bloodlust/Heroism, decent dps.
Rogue - for pure dps output.
    Warlock - Banish/Fearbot, decent dps.
Mage - Int buff, good dps, mage table and Critbuff to Shammy <3.
Unholy DK - Good dps, increase in magical recieved dmg on target.

    Re: Your 10 man setup

    Tanks:
    Warrior
    Paladin
    DPS:
    Arms Warrior
    Ret Paladin
    Combat Rogue
    WhateverHeMayBeToday-Warlock
    Arcane Mage
    Moonkin
    Healer:
    Holy Paladin
    Holy Priest

The moonkin and the ret paladin can heal as well, so they switch roles sometimes.

My guild runs 3-4 separate 10 mans, the one I run with has cleared plague wing icc and just got a few attempts in on Queen last night.

    Unholy dk
    Rogue
    Arcane mage
Elemental Shaman (dual spec resto for anything healing intensive)

    Healers:
    Resto druid
    Holy Paladin
