Post your Mage UI

While you have the right idea, you have a lot of redundancies in your UI. Do you really need three addons yelling at you that AM procced? Do you really need two timers to see your Arcane Blast debuffs? Also your buttons could use a lot of trimming. Several abilities repeat (frost nova, mage ward, etc.) and others are redundant (you don't need each individual polymorph variation on your bars).

Aside from that I'd suggest editing where you keep your cooldown timers. (I'm assuming you're using both the mage nuggets and quartz tracking). Your bars for slow, mirror image, and arcane power all on opposite sides of the screen. You could easily condense these all into one location (or one mod).

Lastly I'm confused by your unit frames placement. Why are they spread so far apart? Also, why show cast bars in Xperl if you're going to use Quartz? Again, you have the option here to eliminate redundancy.

as i said it still needs me setting it up again.. but well bars are messy, i know i just cba to remove the ones i dont need atm^^ and the polys are there just for fun when sheeping critters while waiting for raid to be ready in icc^^ and castbars well yeah could remove the xperl ones, but weirdly i like it^^ and same goes with the unitframe placement, its not optimal for some, but for me... it totally works

and for the arcane missile proc tracking.. its only mage nuggets and standard blizzard thingy.. i just havent made and exeption for elkano's to disregard ab debuff

all those i'm planning to change.. i just have played like 2 days /played on my mage since 4.0.1 hit^^

and no i dont use quartz for buff tracking on myself.. its only mage nuggets^^ anyways sorry abt this mess of a post xD, been up for 30ish hours^^ and will prolly post an update for u in around 16 hours if i remember to^^

Jasje, do you got an simple explanation to fix the raid frames like you got them on your last 2 screenshots? I downloaded your uploaded tukui package but somehow the raid frame is 1 vertical 'lane' instead of 5x5 groups

I couldn't find your old forum thread on the tukui forum, thought you might've explained it in there. halp!

It's because your in dps lay-out, type /heal and you got the frames you want.

Ah oke, thanks =) The vertical frame just consumes so much space :P The one in the healer layout has a better overview

raid frames get 5x5 but the rest remains the same right? or raid frames go into the middle like msot healer setups do?

No if you go with the /heal layout you will get the 5x5 raid frame setup but it will still be on the right side. With /uf you are able to move some of the unit frames so i guess you could bring those raid frames into the middle, dunno if it will fuck up things like cast bar and such

Im loving Jesje's UI, but i cant get keybinds working... so is there a way i can turn off all action bar s and use bartender? if so how can i do it (im guessing something in the .lua file?)

Yes, all the functions you need is in the stardard UI, but it is ugly as hell.

I use a custom UI for aesthetic reasons. I'm a minimalist when it comes to UI's.

Mine is based off Jasje's UI. I remember seeing it before you released it haha on wowinterface when you posted a screenshot of it in RiskUI. Well here is mine anyway from 4 months ago (haven't played since then) made from scratch but with your UI in mind. The middle grey box is supposed to have a black kg panel there for the target's target and the right is the target box but it's a bit nudged to the left.

Also, Jasje, do you have a config for grid that makes it look like the one you have with tukui?

I dont get this whole idea with black texture blocking half of the screen. Why do people tend to do so?

If you're using hydras, on the left chat, there is a "menu" button, click it, then go "addons" then "TukUI config" and it should be under Unit frames i belive.
