A death knight can use any spec to level with and they all put out a large amount of damage. But, blood has the advantage of all the self healing which in turn allows you to solo many group quests by yourself.

You can do that as unholy too... You just use DS rather than SS in those situations. As for the reaping question... that's kind impossible to know. Can you get it? Yes. Has math been done out to determine which spec is better at 68-79? No. Will it hurt you so much that it makes it difficult to level? No.

frost is the worst spec for leveling from what i have heard i personally leveled unholy and was able to solo just about everything outside of instances myself i was tank speced and geared though
