Emphatic, Yay or Nay?

A local band I've been keeping an eye on for the past couple years. They recently just got signed by Atlantic Records. Personally I believe they could become big, what do you all think?

Not my genre but defenitely a skilled singer. Can't comment on the guitarists since it's mostly easy picking and powerchords, drummer seems fine.

Not great, but good. Might make it on the mainstream market, won't really appeal to "dedicated" fans.

Lyrics seems a bit lackluster aswell, but let's be fair, 95% of all lyrics on the mainstream market do anyway, so that won't be noticed.
