Did the lamps get you, guys??
Not really. But you guys didn't even comment on the Al-Namrood post
I mean, how often do you hear black metal from Saudie Arabia?
I gave Al Namrood a listen some time ago and I was fairly certain that I'd heard that name before. I just didn't really dig what I heard. They had some nice ideas, they definitely executed the whole oriental deal well, but the music just didn't really resonate with me. That's also why I didn't say anything.
I don't really want to be the guy to always come around and say "yes, I saw that, but I didn't dig it", so I didn't say anything at all. Speaking of metal with that general theme, though, reminds me of those guys:
no where near the same kind of heavy as some of you have been posting, but really got into these guys recently.
1) Load the amount of weight I would deadlift onto the bench
3) Crank out 15 reps
4) Be ashamed of constantly skipping leg day
Just found out that Neaera disbanded in September saying that "they'd rather quit before they're just a shadow of their former self". Can't say that I was ever a huge fan of their music but I did like Omnicide and Forging the Eclipse and out of all those german metal bands that played a heavy fusion of melodic death metal and metalcore, Neara were certainly the only one that ever put out material that actually caught my attention.
Chrome Division "Infernal Rock Eternal"
It sounds really heavy
New Obscura was "more of the same". I just find it impressive you can still instantly recognise who they are, when they're still so close to being a tribute band.
Yea it is. Hoping to get it up on Bandcamp over the weekend and put up another song on Youtube. Will let ya know when it's up.
Album is up on Bandcamp. Let me know if there's anything wonky about it or if something seems off.
//edit: Obviously, feedback about the album itself would be great too.
