GnR was one of the bands that defined a new era of rock. They were on the edge of everything we needed in music back then. Then Axel fell off that edge and was swallowed up by the abyss of insanity. It's really a shame because bands like this only come along once or twice in a decade.

GnR never really did it for me. I can understand why people like them, but they just aren't my cup of tea. If I had to choose though it would be older.

Axl and Slash are the two most arrogant douchebags on the entire planet. Slash is actually playing Download this year (which I'm going to), but I probably won't see him because he irritates me.

I honestly have no idea what people see as so great about this band or these people.

The old one had it's moments, the new one is a living joke. Never been a big GnR fan, actually I've never been a fan at all, but comparing new shows to old shows any old hag with a brain can see where it went wrong. Not only did Axl ruin the whole band, but he can't even sing anymore, singing in falsetto making him sound like Mickey Mouse, somehow that have been the case with a couple of old bands' vocalists these days, notable also Dave Mustaine of Megadeth.

On another note, I was lead into believing that Guns n' Roses didn't even exist anymore for the past several years until I discovered myself that they still exist, turns out people disliked the new Guns n' Roses so much they didn't consider them to still exist. Now I see why.
