Questions about my soon to be PC

Hey guys, just have a few questions about the PC I am getting ready to build. I dont plan on buying all of the parts at once, just a couple pieces at a time. Alright here we go. I want to know if this computer will be able to run World of Warcraft on max settings (shadows included) with very smooth gameplay. Modern Warfare 2 seems to already run very well on my current PC, so I am pretty positive that should be okay. Will this PC be able to run Aion at max settings with smooth gameplay? Aion seems to just completely destroy my current setup. I've done a good bit of research on these parts, I didnt just pick random things. But if you would like to recommend a better brand name or something, that would be cool.

    Heres the parts:

    RAM: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...8&Sku=C13-8236

Graphics Card: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...&Sku=E145-0282 In addition to this, I will also be placing the graphics card I currently am using beside this one. Currently I am using a GeForce 8800 GTX with 700 and some odd MB of memory.

    Mobo: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...&Sku=E145-2058

    Processor: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...4&Sku=I69-0950

PSU: My original choice for my PSU was http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...5032&CatId=106 but I was also looking at http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...&Sku=U12-40502 Any suggestions?

Cooling will be excellent, I already have everything I need to keep all of this at very good temperatures.

Everything looks good, you should definitely be able to run WoW on full with no hardware lag. Just keep in mind though it's not just hardware that affects gameplay.

Also I'd go with the 2nd powersupply you listed. I have a similar one and you only need to hook up the wires you're actually going to use, versus other power supplies that leave you with a crap ton of wires you don't really need because you don't have 5,000 disk drives to hook up.

Ghostcrawler: Yeah good thing we made healing harder!
Metzen: Guys, what soul should I get to go with Paladin and Beastmaster?

definatly go w/ the 2nd psu. If for no other reason, Lifetime warrent is gold. One of my old computers I used for 5 years went through 4-5 psu. That one you listed you could use for many years to come. I'm getting the 600w version and very excited

the video card is a nono...... it dosn`t support dx 11, so no need to spend alot of money on that one

get a ati 5870........ its faster and it uses less power and it has full dx11 support

but if you are a nvidia man, then wait for the fermi cards coming im march....... they have full dx11 and looks to bee faster then redeon 5870

Re: Questions about my soon to be PC

From the looks of it this is your first build.

RAM: Don't waste your money on 1866 when your mobo won't support it.

Graphics: As others have mentioned, the 5870 is a better option. It has out performed the 285 in almost all benchmarks.

Mobo: Very nice motherboard that is somewhat "future proof", but if youre going to drop that kind of cash on such a beast, atleast go for SLI or Xfire.

Processor: Rookie mistake. Go with the i7 920, its half the price and is easily overclocked to 4ghz with little to worry about in the cooling category.

PSU: The second one by far. Silver rated, sli and xfire certified, lifetime warranty, lovely optional modular set up, looks good.
