Ret S8 gloves and PvE

So s8 gloves have some resil a bunch of crit and a 5% increase to CS dmg.

Is there any possibility these gloves are BiS or better than any non-hardmode gloves due to the increase to CS dmg? Or is it really not that much of an increase considering the loss of other stats?

It's a loss. Since BC the pvp gloves have never and likely will never compete. The only reason they were amazing in BC is because crusader strike used to be ~30% of our damage done.

a 5% increase to 30% of your damage is huge. A 5% increase to 10-15% of your damage is not so much.

the pvp gloves have alway added 5% to CS? I didn't know that, pardon my ignorance. I just happened to look at the s8 gloves since they were just posted and thought it was something new they added.

Since S3. S1 and S2 gloves buffed the holy damage increase of Judgement of the Crusader, a spell which no longer exists.
