number crunching on shadows embrace

could some1 crunch the numbers if instead max rank sb x2+haunt for shadow embrace is any better/worse than using rank 1 and getting the stacks twice faster

You lose 680-750 x 2 damage by down ranking, and gain 1.6 seconds with zero haste.

However, I'm at about 25% haste, which means I only save 1.28 seconds by doing this.

1s more later or 1500 damage now? I choose the now, since 1s later may not actually pan out correctly (extra second, but during which nothing ticks and nothing impacts the target = net loss)
