I had some spare time, so I tried making a BiS list.
As I am a Alliance myself, so I counted Heroic Presence to be active.
So here it is:

I did not make this BiS list with a dps calc or something like that, purely based on what I thought what was the best item.

As you see, I did not include gems or enchants, since they may vary depending on your professions.

the only issue i see with this list is that you will be just a little bit low on hit rating. You could always gem for hit but i hate wasting a socket to get hit capped.

Other than that we can all keep dreaming...

As I said, it's made for alliance, since I play alliance myself. It has 9,11% hit which is slightly over cap.

We had the same discussion in december, you can switch the bracers (which aren't that good because it has spirit on it) for http://www.wowhead.com/?item=50651 that will give you 13 extra crit rating, a better gemslot and pushes you over the hitcap (18 sp for 13 crit rating,some extra sp/crit due to the gemslot and getting you over the hitcap is a good tradeoff). For the rest it's exactly the same as the list we made in december except the lich king weapon ofcourse.

Remember I made this list for Alliance druids. The tradeoff would be 23 sp from the spirit on the bracers (Imp motw & kings) plus 23 sp from the socket in it versus 13 crit from the bracers themselves, plus another 10 crit from socket, 12 sp from socket and most likely +5 sp from the socket bonus.
So 46 sp versus 23 crit and 17 sp
Or simplified thats 29 sp versus 23 crit for Alliance

So assuming you are alliance the bracers I put in are better if you are Alliance

I made a BIS list (actually, this was one of the ones discussed back in December :P). This is from a horde standpoint. This has sort of been made into my own little wish list (which is why you see different comments here and there). I use *normal* items only, because heroic upgrades are basicly just straight gear upgrades.

Please note: It lists Nibelung, because thats what i use. Royal Scepter + Shadow Silk Spindle will probably be the safer bet. I haven't added Phylactory, but this is most likely BIS along with Dislodged Foreign Object.

Nice list, I agree on most of it but not on the choise of trinkets. I love the stacking spellpower trinkets. And my choise would fall on muradins spyglass and heroic muradins spyglass But thats because I dont want a proc on a fight that I have to run and not cast (professor, rotface, marowgar, princes, bloodqueen, lichking) or where I wont be able to cast (singradosa).
Sure those trinkets would be awesomesauce if they would proc on a heroism or when you can stand still and nuke. But, if we have learnt anything from beeing a balance druid, is that RNG is always against the caster.

Phylactory and DFO are two very powerfull trinkets. Sure, you might proc them when you are moving, looking at overall gain, these two seem to be the strongest. Heroic spyglass seems to come out more or less equal than DFO. Normal Phyl. is significantly more powerfull than others, so i'd accept the randomness.

Also, we don't want to go too overboard with crit - a crit trinket and a haste trinket, both with SP procs, should be quite a nice combo.

Has the value of Reign diminished compared to the heroic trinkets then? I was under the impression that Reign was still a very strong trinket and was intending to go with Reign of the Unliving (upgrading to Heroic when possible) + Phylactory of the Nameless Lich (again upgrading to Heroic when possible)

@ Alzagor, you keep saying you are alliance so only go for 9% hit. Personally as Alliance I would rather just go with 10% rather than rely on that draenei. It's not a massive hit to stats to do that. I went into more detail here : http://www.strayegg.com/showme/Moonk...ore_the_Dranei

When your starfires drops below 2 second cast time the Reign drops quite a bit in value as you can't proc the Motes one after another during a lunar eclipse.

So the general view is that due to the levels of haste floating around, it's best to just go all out and get Starfire casting even faster hence the raised value of Dislodged Foreign Object? (plus it has a quite nice proc of course)

If so I shall certainly adjust my endgame build to reflect this, most likely by just swapping out Reign of the Unliving for Dislodged Foreign Object in the long-term (I say long term because I have a feeling that getting DFO + Phylactory both heroic is liable to be a tall order)

Well, it's either spirit or haste to choose to pick up, and spirit isn't that good.

DFO and Phylactery heroic are probably BiS by a good margin. If you want to see how much Reign of the Dead/Unliving is when you go over the haste cap just put it in at twice your NG starfire casttime in Rawr, drops quite a bit and even under Muradin's.

I'll probably go for Phylactery normal and muradin's heroic now in the beginning since DFO is quite godly for some other caster specs and DFO is on par with Phylactery and muradin's heroic for me. Don't see doing gunship10 hardmode should pose any problems

Its very simple math, really. When we have 2 second starfires, we get a mote every 2 seconds. When we have 1,9 second starfires, we get a mote every 3,8 seconds, effectively halving the effect of Reign of the Dead.

In fact, if i recall correctly, EJ lists Muradin's spyglass close to normal Reign in terms of benefit - im not sure if any haste was assumed for this compilation, but in ICC gear, i can't wait to swap out my reign.

My order for trinkets in terms of DPS benefit:

1. Phylactory
2. DFO about -20 DPS under #1
3. Reign of the Dead about -40 DPS under #1
4. Muradin's about -50 DPS under #1


Of course higher haste values will negatively impact procs for RotD, so at high haste levels Muradin's may surpass RotD, but even before then the DPS difference is only about 10 DPS.

What? That makes no sense. Sure, Muradin's + Phyl. is viable, but not as viable as using DFO over MS.

Removed my last post because it wasn't quite phrased clearly.

What I meant to mean is that I shouldn't go losing sleep over trying to get DFO as the DPS loss from having Muradin's instead for the time being isn't exactly game-breaking @ approx 30 DPS under DFO.

In an ideal world yes Phyl. + DFO would be the main aim, but for many Muradin's is liable to be more easily obtainable in the short term due to it coming from 10-man so less caster competition each time it drops
