Leveling by Random Dungeons

So i made a lock with full heirloom. Im going to level only by dungeons with couple of friends. which spec should i level by then? please help

10-40, I say Destruction, just because the trash will die too fast to get DoT benefit and you can't get a Felguard. You will hopefully have a healer who can HoT you through Life Tap.

41-49, Affliction is nice due to non-existent downtime, and impressive soloing/drain tanking. Felhunter gets Shadow bite at 42, and will never run out of mana again.

50-69, Demonology is nice. Felguard, spam Shadowbolt. Destruction has a few neat toys by now, especially once you get Incinerate.

70+, I prefer Destruction. Affliction and Demo both work too, since you just spam Seed of Corruption on trash and Shadowbolt/Incinerate on bosses. Affliction becomes much better now, as well, because your trash DPS doesn't super suck, and most bosses are Affliction-friendly.

I personally went Affliction from 1-39, tab-dotting everything and just grinding through quests/areas. Once I hit 40, I got Dual Spec and made the secondary into a Destruction spec (for ease of instance damage).

Pick any spec you want, just know how to play it. If you do less than the shaman healer using Searing totem, you're doing it wrong. If you're doing less than the tank, you're doing it wrong.

Read up on the plethora of threads out there on Affliction + Trash, they will explain how dot mechanics work in relation to mobs with low hp.

Each spec has a very different gameplay style and they are all good, so pick the one you enjoy playing the most. It is a game after all so if you are not having fun what is the point.

they arent alike. personally i HATED demonology with my warlock, so i never played it. i loved affliction, and the other one.. destruction was too "mage"-like for my taste. i was only affliction !

when i lvled my lock i just went destro, shadowbolt to curse of ele to immolate to conflag boss dead.
