Since the answers simple and going to be universal what's everyones thoughts on the armor boosts at the price of defense eating on the tier gear? Got two pieces of the new tier so far and next piece I pick up is going to drop me below the defense cap. Obviously just gotta gem a little differently to compensate n I'm just QQing a bit since I can't simply feed my gear +30 stam gems anymore. Anyone have a thought on this?

wrong, stamina is better then dodge for surviving in all cases, and hitting the avoidance hard cap is not possible

for heroics your gearset and gemming doesn't matter so much, it's tankable in decent dps gear for christ's sake.

but for raids you want to lean more on stamina gemming, supplementing good socket bonuses with def/stam, hit/stam, and agi/stam. if you want to aim for un-hittable (every non-avoided hit is a block) you can do that without gemming for avoidance, you just cut very low on your hit and expertise which hurts your threat a lot. Though you will lose un-hittable in ICC no matter what.
