Arms with Last Stand?

Is it a good idea to spec into Last Stand for arms?
I normally play WoW by myself, so i usually dont have a healer near me.

Also, Last Stand doesn't heal you. You temporarily gain health, but you lose it as soon as the effect wears off. To be blunt, that spec is really, really bad.

I fail to see how you'd need that extra hp, especially being a plate wielder. Not to mention the dps you'd lose. I mean cmon, you missed out Wrecking crew in the arms tree. That's a flat 10% increase to dps. What do you gain out of going into the prot tree? More dps on your thunderclap? AFAIK, that's rarely used and would be minimal.

My question to you though, is why do you think you need Last Stand?

If you are questing or doing w/e by yourself 99% Mobs will die before you will ever need to blow LS, just use a potion or Enraged Regen (and ffs please, please, please spec into Wrecking Crew) if it goes bad


There is really no way to justify speccing LS as an Arms Warrior.

I don't know a lot about arms, but if you are doing PVP this spec gets you good survivability for only slightly decreased damage output:

that is the spec I ran with for ages with those glyphs. I would personally recomend it over any other cookie cutter arms pvp spec if all your interested in is 1vs1 and BG's.

The extra survival you get from poping Enraged regen + last stand + Hp trink. Is crazy you get a crap tonne (19-20k) healing over 10s.

you also gain some crazy burst dps when the enemy is low on hp (if its melee). Pop shield block and Revenge spam them, it hits like a truck costs only 5 rage and you can stun them over and over until DR kicks in. The overpower glyph is also very very good against DK's and hunters(cut though deterrance).

Swifty a decent pvp warrrior from youtube done a long "warrior vs ***" guildes for 1vs1 and this was the spec he agreed you pretty much NEED to be able to have any hope against a good Ret,dk,frost mage. Btw dont even bother fighting Prot paladins in bg's atm This may just be me sucking but they are impossible to kill as melee since the Res buff as they pretty much Block your entire hits that are not crits and Smash you with 7k avengers shields and other hard hitting hits,

I contemplated speccing that to get my Frost Infusion quest done, together with a glyph of last stand. Turned out it wasn't necessary, 535 frost resistance well perhaps abit too much on the safe side but better safe then sorry.
