I'll take that challenge from a Shadow Priest perspective. I'll take a single attempt on Sindragosa 10man as a baseline for my numbers (taken from here: http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/2...?s=3543&e=3969).

Now if I were to of had an extra 3% crit from FM, the numbers (should have) looked something like this:

I'd be interested to see how much the 3% crit increases a mage's damage in the same fight, then compare it to the benefits of the extra damage *and* healing done by a shadow priest, which (for fights with constant AoE raid damage, like Sindragosa) is also going to be very important and not just extra overhealing.

Re: Focusing Magic. Who benefits the most?

When it comes down to it, does it really matter? Really? Because you may not see very much difference between one caster having it and another. It really depends on other raid buffs, raid makeup, and even the fight itself. If you really don't know what is best, choose the caster with the highest DPS and give it to them. If there is more than one Focus Magic mage in the raid, decide who gives it to whom, but base it on highest caster DPS -- on average for each particular fight.

Experience will tell you who to place it on.
    For the Alliance!

If you want to give it to other class besides a mage, a Moonkin or Warlock.

If your on a fight that has alot of damage. a Paly is best.

Or trade it with other classes that can innervate you :OO

Re: Focusing Magic. Who benefits the most?

Fire mages for pyropwness or b00mkins, or if your a total dick and want your own dps to shine while still keeping the buff up, rogues

If no other mages are around in buffing this dr00d - a whopping 4.1-6.2% dps gain depending on the fights

Buffed this champ in a 10man run to check it out - only a 0.4-1.8% dps gain

My own +% crit stays on 3 ofcouse.
What you've just wrote is one of the most insanely idiotic things I've ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response was there anything that could even be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this forum is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul!

Oh looks, people posting assertions with no math. I'm pretty sure I told the regulars I'd lock this thread if that happens.
