Gemming and enchanting as a disc healer.

    http://www.wowarmory.com/character-s...Darkang%C3%A8l

That is my armory. We are a 10 man raiding guild. I have a 232 pve neck and a 245 pve ring but I find the 2 pieces of pvp gear to be better then the 2 pieces of pve gear the ring i have for pve http://www.wowhead.com/?item=47732 and the neck http://www.wowhead.com/?item=50211.

What I am wanting help with is:

    A) Should I use the 2 pieces of pvp gear or the 2 Pieces of pve gear?
    B) Are my gems and enchants right or should I go a different route?
    C) Does my spec look good or are there any changes you think should be made.

Any help would be greatly appreicated
A penis has a sad life. His hair is a mess, his family is nuts, his neighbour is an asshole, his best friend is a pussy and his owner beats him!

    B) Personal preference but I would prefer 25 SP meta. You also have some spirit gems. Going +SP+mp5 or just straight SP for some blue sockets could be considered.
    C) The very glaring point here is 2/2 reflective shield. I would push for putting it back into grace and focused will.

I plan on keeping two pieces of t9 triumph for t9 2 piece bonus.
    Shoulders & Hands triumph
    Head and Chest t10
    Crafted or other leggings...

    What do you think?

Re: Gemming and enchanting as a disc healer.

Disc isn't my MS (and quite frankly isnt my cup of tea) but keeping 2pc T9 (even for disc) I would agree being feasible.

    Now for T10 you have to decide first if you want to go for the bonus. You're keeping 2pc T9 so 4pc is out of the way so we shouldnt go there;

Now 2pc T10 is an entire forum thread on its own but opinion is generally divided. Before you make your decision on whether to get 2Pc T10 be sure to read and understand

http://www.wowwiki.com/Blessed_Healing so that you understand what youre really getting. To keep it short my personal take is that its bad because its clunky, has a long gap between ticks, is based off RNG and proc stacking might actually be a bad thing :/

Now if you're agreeing (which you dont have to, just saying) that 2pcT10 isnt worth going for, then consider the shadow pieces
For the Helm, shadow Helm seems pretty good. its no spirit, and a good dose of haste/crit. Now your other options at this ilvl are Ceremonial crown or Holy T10 (no haste, replaced with alot of spirit instead), or Crackling cowl (no crit, but some spirit)

For chest, I would recommend MCR from EOF since its quite close to being the same deal from shadow t10, and will probably save you some DKP/GP/SK

If you're using the 25sp/2% mana meta, and gemming for some form of regen still, then you're not itemizing very efficiently.
When you can get more bang for your buck with IED meta and gem pretty much full SP.

I don't feel I need anymore haste..isnt 11% haste cap for disc? After thinking about I think I'll stick with 2pc t10 1. I don't mind the 2pc bonus 2. I don't feel like getting the shadow set because of being paranoid. : Thanks for the advice though.

Yup how much the "haste cap" is of a "cap" is really hingent on what you want. Here's how it works. 11% (from gear) + 8% (from boom/ret and WOA totem) +6% (enlightenment) +25%(borrowed time). Obviously, especially considering weakened soul is an annoying 15 seconds your BT "uptime" may vary along with many many other factors.

The haste "cap" really only applies if you're bubble-spamming the raid.

The two PvE pieces are significantly better.

Replace your shoulder enchant with crit. MP5 does little for you.

You're using the correct meta. Insightful Earthsiege Diamond is the best meta for any healer, simply because it returns a very large amount of mana. If you have more mana than you need, look elsewhere to shed some of it for spellpower before you swap meta gems.

Gemming haste is a nono for disc. Haste and crit are both very nice stats, but point-for-point are much worse than SP for throughput. If you're not having mana issues, gem mostly spellpower - if you are having mana issues, gem mostly intellect. Spirit and MP5 do very little for you, and I would simply live with the amount of haste on your gear. Personally I use all red SP gems, except for one purple gem to activate my meta, and a handful of orange SP/int gems just in case I need the mana.

In your case, you have a big mana pool and a lot of spirit from gear. I would gem as much spellpower as possible.

Reflective Shields only work when PW:S is cast on yourself, making it useful only for PvP. Get rid of those two points and fill out Grace and Focused Power. I also recommend taking two points from Spell Warding to fill out Healing Focus, as the pushback reduction can contribute quite a bit on some fights.

If you can afford the crafted legs, get them. They kick ass. Just remember that there are very nice (similarly itemized) legs off of 10 man Festergut (or Rotface, I forget).

Snowflake trinket desperately needs replacing. I'd look into Purified Lunar Dust - it's not as good as Solace of course, but still a nice amount of spellpower and a decent mana return. Much better than what you're using (and if you get Solace/Sliver/Abacus as a drop, you can replace your int trink and make up the mana elsewhere).

Wrong meta. Get IED, like was mentioned before. It returns quite a bit of mana, allowing you to lose some of the spirit and intellect. I'd recommend Tuskarr's for boot enchant, 18 spirit really pales in comparison to the boost in mobility.

    +10 stats to chest > +10 mp5.

Spec is a little strange - that solitary point in Divine Fury isn't doing much good. Move it into Desperate Prayer, which is basically a powerful reusable health pot. I'd recommend moving two points from Spell Warding into Healing Focus as well, for the pushback resistance.
