    Rupture Critting

Will we go back to using rupture in our rotations now that rupture can crit?

    Re: Rupture Critting

Possibly, but that will be unsure till a spreadsheet is changed to account for this.

Read PTR to the above posters.

I never thought I would be so saddened to see a buff to Rogues.

    Re: Rupture Critting

Looks interesting. I believe Rupture will have a comeback, including the glyph and, ofc, the two points in it.

As always, it depends on the fight, but I think it'll be better then Envenom and Evis again... though Envenom might only be beaten if you can't make full use of the Envenombuff. [Think of Sindragosa]

Anyways, for Combat it's probably gonna be AP-gemming all the way again, crit will be more in line (Pre-Critcap) with Haste and we're gonna change back to a High-Rupture-Cycle again... I think.

Exception might be if you have quite a lot of ArP, close to hardcapping.

Well, that's what I somewhat expect... could be wrong, though. ^^
It's astonishing how confused people get when a sentence does not end as they potato.

What about 4pc T8? Useless now?

People still use it? And it'll likely be the same as shaman T8 2pc that let flame shock crit. Unchanged and unused.

Rupture crits will have people crit capping and not gemming haste anymore

I wish Blizzard would stop trying to make us use rupture.

I used rupture with 4p t8 and I pull 7k+ dps. And none of my gear is over 226 except one of my daggers is a relentless one and both are 1.8 ;]

WTB a reactive reason to rupture my target. Adding another finisher to my rotation really isn't a challenge still. >:3

better than spamming mutilate envenom mindlessly IMO

    Re: Rupture Critting

personally, i still don't know if it'll do enough damage to make it worth it, the envenom buff is just too good imo

    Re: Rupture Critting

Rupture ticks every 2 seconds, I imagine with Blood Spatter and mostly ilvl251 gear with AP gems and average buffs it'll crit for at least 2.4k.

2.4kx5 + 1.2kx4 (assuming about 50% crit raid buffed) over 18 sec = 16,800 bleed damage free of GCD's for 25 energy. 2.4k Crits are probably on the low side too assuming FULL raid buffs.

This is what I was thinking, too.

It honestly isn't that great even with Crits when you take into account the other way to use our points (Envenom).

exactly, thats 85-145 energy used on something that probably won't do as much as your poison procs and evenom

    Re: Rupture Critting

yeah, Rupture will probably end up doing more Damage/Energy on paper, but the Envenom buff will probably cause Envenom to continue to be the only finisher.

Have you ever thought of that this could be meant to buff Sub-rogues? :P As they specc for both rupture increasement talents, their Rupture is really worth taking into a rotation :P

It's likely they'll change spell coeffecients to bring it back into rotations. I don't think blizzard likes both specs to be completely faceroll.

This x100000 its not like we dont have time to throw it in our rotation, but again testing will have to be done first.
