For a feral Druid, whether cat or bear, your first frost purchase is one of the Tier 10 pieces (and your next 3 purchases are also tier 10 pieces). If you are a tank, don't get the chest, because there is a better off-set chest. For cats, we skip the gloves, because there is a better off-set pair of gloves in ICC. But you ALWAYS get the tier pieces first before any of the other frost badge items. Choosing which piece of tier gear just comes down to where your biggest upgrade will be. Once you have 4 pieces of tier 10, you can then start looking at the non-set pieces with your frost badges.

    Cool

i recommend an addon called feral by night it is an awesome tool for feral kitty's i first found out about this addon on elitist jerks

    http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-a...tails/fbn.aspx

there's the link the author has recently started updating it again witch is great

I agree FBN has helped me tremndously. I am thinking about adding a larger combo point addon though to make it easier to see.

I wouldn't rely on such mods that much tbh. I see so many new ferals relying on these addons to actually play their character for them, but when cataclysm hits most will be in for a shock.

Point I'm trying to make is, learn to dps purely by looking at debuffs / buffs. It's fairly hard to explain, but I'm sure most top ferals have their own little methods to dps rather than look at an addon that tells you how to play.

    @Dannypoos

Quick check shows that you're far under the arpen cap to even make decent use of your NES. Try and aim towards the 700 mark.
No shoulder enchant - Agi / cirt gems. Uh-oh.

A quick fix would be to gem everything to +20 ARP while maintaining your meta. It's going to be costly, but you'll notice the difference. If you do decide to go down this path, maximize your arp by munching on some Hearty Rhino to bring you closer to the NES cap.

Another solution to a fast dps boost would be dropped your Herbalism for somethign more raid worthy like JC'ing / BS'ing.

It's a bit of a shame you went for belt / gloves over T10, but try and make T10 your next choice.

If this becomes a double post i apologize I made a reply but it didnt post.

Mushy, I agree staring at addons and not the environment is a bad idea for raiding but it does help new kitties learn the synergy of the class.

I have upgraded my gear a bit in the past week, I am sitting at 54% crit I believe now hit cap, 25 exp, So I was thinking as I upgrade my gear from here I should gem Arp instead of Agi until I get to the soft cap for my trinket. Does that sound about right? Also the 20 hit gem in my chest I put in when I first hit 80 and was way below hit cap, I will be replacign it with an Arp gem tonight. Next badge upgrades are going to be T10 helm in 50 badges (unless I get hands/legs from VOA next week then shoulders for 2 piece) for triumph badges I was thinking mirror of truth (damn banner from toc 5 never drops) and conquest waist? Should be running ICC startign this week.

    Thanks again.

Hello Mihir, thanks in advance for the help I'm now doing 10.5k dps on saurfang, which is great.

This is my current gear http://www.wowarmory.com/character-s...las&cn=Taurrus

I'm now collecting frosties again for the 60 emblem one, I wonder what should I start aiming for. My hit is going down a bit, and I find a bit strange that rawr is asking me to go agi on red ones instead of armorpen which I thought was the way to go to be soft cap.

I currently have access to icc 10 but sindragosa and lich king, and in 25 all the way to rotface.

Any suggestion will be much appreciated.

FBN has a priority system but is also a timer addon (the author disappeared so the priority system is completely out of date but the timer part works fine), which makes it easier than looking for a tiny buff on the bosses portrait while still looking for fire, etc. Most of the time new feral's need an addon that *plays* for them to start out and hopefully can get rid of it within a few raids once they get the hang of it

You're already 10 over softcap when your trinket procs. As usual, Rawr is not wrong. It'll change once you actually drop NES. Then you can drop all those agi/crit gems as well. Biggest upgrades would be in 10man hc (nearly there) and getting a 264 weapon.

I'm far from the best feral druid in the world, and i hope i don't get flamed because some of my gear is marginally off what it could be.
But any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey guys looking for some help. Im currently sitting on 2 piece t10 and not really sure what to get for my next frost piece. I have 54 and did not know if i should go for gloves next or holdout for either the chest or pants. Also, should i grind for NES and start gemming ArP, or should i wait to get a bit more ArP on my gear alone?
http://www.wowarmory.com/character-s...irne&cn=Tagdan I might be in my (crappy lol) resto gear.
If i am, check wow-heroes.com Server - Cairne Character - Tagdan
Note to the wow-heroes acct. I did upgrade my wrist to Toskk's.
Thanks for the help in advance.

pbfan33, it is my understanding you want get teh T10 4 piece asap. Then get the frost offset. As for gemming I believe you are suppose to gem for the arp hardcap of 1399 unless you have a trinket that procs arp then gem to the softcap (1399-trinket proc). However you have to maintain a minimum of 50% crit in kitty form while gemming the arp. Once you get arp capped get 8% hit and 26 exp then go for the crit cap (78% i think) then gem haste or strength (seems to be player preference, haste imo). I could be wrong but from what I have been reading it seems you eventually want 4 pieces t10 offset gloves, 1399 arp, then 8%hit, 26 exp, 78% crit then gem haste.

I know that 4 piece is top priority. More looking for what would be the next piece to buy based on my current gear.

I would probably wait and get the chest or pants (Whichever is the larger upgrade) and sit on your 3 set and hope for gloves/pants in VoA next week. I know the week I've ever bought gloves/pants for my characters they drop in VoA. Seeing as it's only your 3 set anyway it will be the same amount of time to your 4 set if you get unlucky.

    Back again.

    Any advice for me?

I just got the Heroic Bloodfall and haven't been able to play with that yet but I am wondering what I could change.

I know you might say change the +hit for +ArP but I don't like the playstyle of missing a lot with my specials. If it would be that much of a dps upgrade I would consider it.

    Thanks in advance!

taking into consideration you said you would rather not trade the hit gems for arp gems why are you not using you other good ring that would get you to the exp cap and also more ap/crit? I know you would be giving up a little more arp but you said yourself you are more concearned with hitting than arp cap.

Hello oh great Mihir. I recently acquired Heroic Cryptmaker. I was just wondering if this was an upgrade over my current weapon. http://www.wowarmory.com/character-s...&cn=Destrucktt If not, what should I be going for, I have access to 11/12 HM 25 and 11/12 HM 10

Always go for the highest ilvl weapon you can get. Cryptmaker is not as good as an agi based weapon, but it still beats any weapon with lower ilvl. So yes, go with hc cryptmaker. HC distant land is the one you will want in the end tho.

Since you drop a lot of agi, moving you away from the crit cap, you can safely drop some hit rating as well to get a bit of agi back. Putting 10agi+10haste gems in all yellow sockets and moving the nightmare tear to the blue socket in your weapon, and filling the other sockets with 34/20 arpen should do the trick. You can safely put 20 agi enchant on your gloves as well. Lastly, since you're hit and arpen capped, black magic should be the best enchant for you.

With arpen food you should end up at 1395 arpen, 170 hit rating and 144 expertise rating = 1.8% avoided attacks with a crit rating vs lvl83 of 68.4%.
