Going for ArP when you can get Str as a Ret is almost as clever as a Mage getting mp5 over crit/sp and then running around shouting on raids "Yayayayayaaa i didn´t have to use Evocation once, im Captain Awesomeness!"

I have to admit to being a bit surprised that they're applying the buff before the first LK HM downing. I'm not screamingly upset about it or anything, just a bit surprised.

Honestly, the competitive top guilds won't even use this, and if you dont want to you don't have to. For those of us that dont live our lives on this game and who quite frankly couldn't care less about server rankings its a nice bonus.

Casuals still won't defeat the Lich King on 25 man with this buff. You can't just waltz in and defeat the 3 main bad bosses, putricide, lana'thel and sindragosa with 30% extra buff. They will succeed after a while in normal, but heroic? No way. Originally Posted by Drinn

An encounter that has yet to be killed by the top guilds on heroic will not be killed by casual groups with a +30% buff.
And I doubt the hardcore will turn this off either. If they have not gotten down Arthas yet, why not use this buff as an assist.

Interesting, but kinda early. Sure, its been nearly three months of icecrown, but more than half of that was unompleted dungeon.

Yes, there will be two hard mode Arthas world firsts. First guild to kill him, period, and first guild to do it without the buff (if that's even possible). It's not like the hardcore guilds are right on the doorstep of beating Arthas HM and this is going to push them over the edge. Originally Posted by Nymrohd
