Axe/Mace Spec

Possibly dumb question I think I know the answer to but it keeps sticking in the back of my mind while doing arena.

Would you guys use the mace or swap out and use http://www.wowhead.com/?item=47069?
I know axe spec is better but is the the mace is so much better that using the axe wouldn't be worth it?

Every time I post my armory here I afterwards think (someone will see something i screwed up and troll me).
I had to re gem and am missing a jc gem (only have 2).

your crit seems a bit low, so maybe you'd benefit from the extra 5% crit to keep deep wounds up.

the mace has much higher top end damage though...

basically if you have enough crit buffed to keep deep wounds up pretty much 100%, you dont need the axe.
do a dummy test to see the difference, it'll give you a good idea, but I suspect the mace would come out on top.

It's not a dumb question because you're asking which weapon spec to utilize, it's a dumb question b/c, as a warrior, top damage is key, so always use your best available weapon.

And it's no longer true that Axe>Mace for PvP;though this is still the case for raiding.

With increasingly better PvE gear, coming closer to the ArP hardcap is becoming more and more of a reality in PvP. While some enjoy the bursty-ness of an Axe, the sustained damage from a Mace puts it on par.

I will ultimately say that it is personal preference, as there are still some high end warriors using Swords.

Summary: Use the best weapon you have available. And Cryptmaker is a great one to have b/c that + The Ashen Verdict ring will be all the hit you need. Go Go ArP!!!

cryptmaker hands down. It wins just because it hits harder. and because this if for PvP and looking at your gear you should be able to get to the hard cap or very close to it as arms with a mix of pvp and pve gear.

arp hardcap is win
