    Engineering for tanking

How useful is engineering for tanking? Is there any stam bonuses?

You get some armour bonus on gloves, rocket gloves that could be used for a nice ranged pull? Also I imagine the rocket boots could really come in handy at times.

Oh yeah, and an extra stun, that's ranged and a small AoE.

The armor bonus is hardly noticeable in high end gear, the rocket boots & rocket launcher gloves are unneeded due to the fact we pull things to use with avengers shield & hand of reckoning. As for the stun it could help if your under geared and pull more mobs then your comfortable tanking but in the end you will be better off getting mining + JC or smithing for the extra 60 stam & either 2 prismatic sockets or JC only gems due to the fact we have a lower base health & health increase from talents then other tank specs.
The way balancing for WOW PVP works is allot like American politics.
1: Be lazy & ignore problems till the yelling is so loud your cant concentrate.
2: Refuse to do the things you have Said need to be done, then make up reasons why they cannot be done.
3: Lay the blame for problems on someone else even when it's your fault because you did all of the above.

645 bonus armor (if you use the armor glove enchant) is nothing to look at as totally useless. Neither is the usefulness of stuff like rocketboots or the glove launcher. It's certainly more fun and interesting, and isn't far off of being just as good.

The engineering glove enchant (800-something) is actually quite good. Yes its an drop in the bucket, but so is more stam. It depends an lot on what encounters you are aiming for. If you are going to maintank, or take an lot of physical damage, consider that Physical mitigation may be the best thing to aim for if your health is already high. If you are just going to stand there and soak damage (eg: Offtank Marrowgar) then it's losing its usefullness slightly

Also, the engineering cloak agility enchant is +1 over the ordinary agility enchant, an nice tiny bonus :-)

600 armor is on par with the other profession bonuses. Engineering is not a bad choice, I have it on my warrior tank.

What with armor being an amazing stat in ICC, yes it's good. That's like saying "this 30 stam gem is hardly noticeable over this 20 spirit gem!".

The rocket boots are amazing for purely situational things, eg. Kiting Rotface's oozes. Stick them on a different pair of boots and use as and when the fight calls for it, you'll never look back.

How is 880ish armour or whatever it is barely noticeable, but an extra 60 stamina OMGAMAZING, especially when, as you said, our stamina modifiers aren't even that high anymore.
