Why not have just one server? Then we can all play together all the time. We should also get rid of Factions too. Wouldnt it be awesome for everyone in the game to play together in the same place?

1) Take Dalaran at peak hours and times that by a thousand. That's if having several million people playing at the same time on the same server is even remotely possible.

2) farming ore or herbs will be next to impossible. Sholazar Basin is already fucking retarded.

3) Also, having one giant server will kill the server community. What I mean is, after playing for several years you will start know the more active people on your realm. Even if they're not in my guild, I know who they are and they know me. If you want a good example of this, browse through your server's forums and see how they interact with each other. Having a population of several million on a server will kill that sense of community.

4) Removing factions WILL make the game uninteresting. No spontaneous world PvP, no faction pride (FOR THE HORDE!!), and it removes most of the underlying conflict that drives the story forward. The day that Blizzard removes factions is the day I cancel my subscription. TL;DR: playing nice = boring.

To give a suggestion like this one would have to either be an obvious troll, or a complete idiot. The kind thing is to assume you're not an idiot leaving the only other option being obvious troll.

Anyone with half a brain will know that this is not technically possible. If you thought it was bad with 50-100 people farming Sholazar basin during peak hours, imagine 50,000-100,000 people farming Sholazar basin during peak hours, with 1 million people loitering in Dalaran.

But it can't work for the reasons explained. The reason it works in EVE is the world is vast and people are all in different parts of it exploring. The world of WoW is tiny - the whole of Eastern Kingdoms would fit into Berkshire, or the area of Greater London - and no-one who is familiar with the way Blizzard's hardware is set up would seriously recommend a whole-world LFG set up. The servers are not just in different battlegroups but in different real-world locations.
