Interesting discussion in here about a HL vs FoL Paladins.
Depends on how smart your DPS are etc.
If your raid can't avoid aoe very well then stick with HL and vice versa and pretty much Eloderung is a good healer.
I'll still stick to HL because i'm an australian and we sometimes have 300-400 latency etc. .
Mainly that i'm lazy and just spent all my frost badges on bloody ret gear!

Nah, algalon still pushes you to HL. We ran him the other day with the spare hour or so after raid. He can still put out a nice amount of damage, if only because he dual wields.

Maybe at 25-man, but at 10-man you almost don't have to worry about a tank death, if you your tank is insanely geared, of course.

Also people should note that T-10 gear is flexible enough to allow for considerable HL use when gemmed for Spellpower. Its no longer, "goddamit I'm OOM after 10 holy lights."

They're simply putting unnecessary strain on other healers to help keep the tank up. Don't do it.

I can't stand FoL pallies, and when I see them in raids (the tell-tale sp-gems/low manapools) I leave immediately. Coming from a priest-main and a druid-gearedalt, they cannot compare. I'm far far FAR and away better than they will ever be at sniping/spot raid healing, and having me concentrate on tanks on either toon is a waste of what my toon is capable of/built for.

If you're the only pally in the raid, and you go with FoL, then unfortunately you're going to be looked upon as the laughing stock of the run.

It might be a cool gimmick in heroics but when the shit hits the fan you need the big guns ready, and no FoL will help you there.

Eloderung is a Holy Paladin in one of the top end guilds but then again most of the casual and lower guilds generally go HL because of needing to heal more.
The point he is trying to state is that it is infact viable for tank healing as a buffer and can use HL when it needs to (Once you're geared that is).
However you'd need alot of hard modes down before you could even spec it.
