I just don't understand

when I'm unholy I follow the PS>IT>BSx2>SS>DC>HoW>SS>DC>SS>SS>DC

And I seem to pull nothing, I use that rotation and I'm always at the bottom, I just don't get it, like I'm always in the top10, but I'm never in the top 5 and death knights with worse gear then me sometimes pull more. Please help me.

the hit that you have equipped could be another stat, like crit or haste or armor pen. that's why you are losing dps.

You should have 8% hit (265) and 26 expertice... not less, not more.

in a nutshell: drop hit and expertice and replace it with another stats.

Str > Crit > AmorPen > Haste

you'll se a big difference.

you can change a piece for another my friend. Even if it's a lower ilvl piece. Hit rating over 8% gives little to 0 dps. Expertice over 26 gives no dps unless you are planning to dps from the front (wich you shouldnt).

To make you an example. A ring 264 with str, crit and hit for you worth less than a ring 245 with str, crit and armor pen.

There are plenty of upgrades you can get that have no hit on them, the crafted chest/bracers/boots/belt lol you have plenty of options. You need more armor pen too I think.

Was just having a little fun at your expense, sorry I guess the extra 200 hit just magically appeared on your gear. All i'm saying is that just because it's a shiny new purple doesn't always mean it's an upgrade. Since we are here trying to help you with your dps, not having your professions maxed can hamper your dps also.

for a build that uses reaping armor pen pulls ahead of crit because of the physical portion of SS. None reaping builds I believe crit is ahead of arm pen

This, because the higher your physical portion the higher the shadow portion aswell.

As I see it, Str = ArP > Crit > Haste, of course with caps first in line.

4. Blood-Soaked Saronite Stompers / Hellfrozen Bonegrinders
5. Might of Blight

If you manage to get all those replacements you'll be right at 269 hit rating, a giant improvement.

Also, if you level up your professions the benefit you'll get from those will up your dps.
