    Letters from Iwo Jima

Brilliant Movie, If you love World War 2 movies then you have to watch this. You see it through the Japanese side in this movie.

    Very good 10/10

Probably right beside Saving private ryan.

I loved it, too. Wasn't there an American version of the movie?

Not that i'm aware of? I think its just based on there side of the War. It really does make you think. I honestly had no idea that's how it was on the Japanese side. I have a lot of respect for them after watching that movie.

You might be thinking about other movies based around almost the same event.

    Saving private ryan?

Saving Private Ryan was the European Champaign, Iwo Jima was the Pacific Champaign.... just saying.

I actually haven't seen the movie, but I kinda want to check it out.

You are actually correct. Clint Eastwood directed 2 movies, one from each viewpoint. Letters from Iwo Jima was the Japanese view, and Flags of Our Fathers is the American view. They are companion movies.

    Both are very good.

I'm not usually into war movies, but I have to say, Iwo Jima was fantastic. Definitely had me teary-eyed at some points...
