Strange human models

Well, my realm has been down this weekend so I decided to play with WoW model viewer and I found something new and exciting, new human models that I have never seen before. Almost all of my characters are human so imagine my excitement when I found these.
So, I have come to ask if anyone seen these models in game? I would assume that these are discarded models from alpha but some of these look too good for that.

This model seems to resemble Mayor Quimby from the DK starting zone

Nice hair and his animations seem to be slightly different ie. he seems to reach forward as he dies and his spell casts have more... err... character

Yeah I found such models as well - but I think they have been around for a while.
They are just mostly models that were never full implemented into the live WoW.

That's a shame, I would love to have have number 3's hair.

They are indeed NPC models which were intended for vanilla wow, but they decided against using them and in stead used the player model. The point is with these is what you see is what you get, there are no customizations on them.

If we get new human models, they are likely more akin to detail levels we see in Varian and Jaina.

there is actually some npcs in the town outside valliance keep(farshire right?) which use some of these models.

They are used in several places, some drowned sailors at the Azure Island, some people in the C.o.t. Durnholde to name two examples. Heck, Khadgar in Shattrath is one of these old models.

the Fat model is NPC in Borean Tundra, the one "Evil Looking" is from TBC. I'm sure I saw the 2nd one somewhere but not the skinny one.

They are not new... They have been in the modelviewer for as long as it has existed.. But using that nicehair/moarnicehair as the worgen in human form was a good idea. They shouldn't look like the usual human.

They are very old models. Some of them were the early BETA versions of humans.

This model can be found just outside ally harbor in borean thundra (cant remeber the name). Its a little quest hub, they are a bunch of farmers whom are trying to get their area back from scourge - (like the quest hub for horde, where you need to kill the swines just outside warsong hold).

Always wondered what was wrong with its model, it looks weird to me.

i wish wow had a feature to not only select a base model but to adjust it as well regarding height, body type, build etc. etc.

i'd love to have a jolly fat mage human. or a really skinny tauren to add variety.

All these models can be found in caverns of times, durnholde.

They are very old models. Some of them were the early BETA versions of humans.

That's what I thought but to me they looked too good for that.
