It's a pretty minor bonus, but the extra defense on stoneskin will add an extra bit of damage reduction onto your icebound fortitude too.

No, Icebound fortitude damage reduction caps at 50% and you get that 50% when you have 540 def. Therefore you cant argument "it gives damage reduction to icebound fortitude" since every tank who is raiding should be crit capped.
