I know gems suck just dinged 80 last week and im going to dual spec affliction for next weeks raid and try it along with Demo

We can't really tell considering how the Faction Champs fight really screws up the dps and we don't know how many times you've wiped on it. It'd have been better to post dps for individual boss fights.

Hm,Destro is more "fitting" specc for new warlocks than affli/demo.Yes it has lesser DPS than affli/demo in theory,but your dot managment may be uh not so well,nothing personaly.

Well i actually did fairl well in FC but ive been running this raid on my druid and DK for months now and trying to tell other locks tips for improving we did wipe at all lol guild run with well geared people i was easily lowest gear I know its hard to say im just looking for an oppinion or 2 on gear vs dps but 3200 was about the same on all the fightsnot over all FC i think i was at like 2400 Twins 4k

lol destro is lowest dpe output of all specs now im not an idiot look at my sig i have 2 chars well into ICC i was hoping as a new lock for some honest post as usual MMO brings out the trolls what ever

Think 3200 dps was more like a number that bis hunters + legendary bow could hit. Somehow I dont think your hunter was one of those.

I'm not sure what else you expect from this topic. You've asked for feedback on a dps figure averaged across an entire raid instance. You've posted in poor English with no punctuation and complained about other people's reading comprehension.

3200 seems ok for your gear. It could be anywhere from very good to pretty bad though, depending on the size of your raid, how much time you spent wiping or mopping up errors and which of the bosses took most time.

MMO brings out a lot of different people. Some of them are trolls, most of them aren't. Certain threads seem to bring out a disproportionately high number of trolls.

We'd need a parse, or something. With that gear you should be able to break 4k DPS without much of an issue. You shouldn't be Demo in that gear though and you do not need Suppression with that gear. So that might be bogging you down slightly. We just can't know without something more in depth. Especially, as someone mentioned, when your average includes Faction Champs.

Not too bad for just getting to 80. That's pretty standard dps for starting out Trial, what I assume was 10 man. Keep gearing up and check out different specs as well as learning how to complete your spell priority if you want to keep your dps going up.


As far as you getting mad at people who have a hard time reading your poor grammar, you really shouldn't get mad at people for not understanding your one line run on. Learn to use ' . ' and ' , ' and maybe even ' ¶ '. Investing in the knowledge of how these characters work will do wonders for both your personal life and your social life.

Trod hasn't stated wiether or not the group he raids with is set or not or wiether he/she knows for a fact that a "Hit" buffer will be there, so therefore speccing into Supression is in fact not a bad idea. I would much rather have to much hit and be able to hit the Boss then have half of casts Miss due to not being near the hit cap.

From just checking your Armory quick, (Although it took me 3 attempts to get the right one!) it does seem that Destro would be an all round better spec for you at the moment.

It may just be me but I see so many people that seem to think EVERY Warlock has to be Affliction these days. Yes I play Affliction but have done so since the very start of WotLK.

Apart from the poor gemming which you have already explained and the fact that you are missing one or two enchants from your gear your DPS as Demo was not too bad depending on what your "Downtime" on Meta was like. Did you safe it for "Burn" phases such as Wyrms on Beasts and the adds on Lord or did you try and have it on cooldown as much as possible?

As a quick conclussion I can only suggest you look at Destro for now instead of looking at Affliction. Demo requires at its base a large amount of Spell Power and Haste along with Crit to back it up where as from what I can see you are running what would be a solid set of gear for Destro. Afflitcion as a whole requires a semi-decent amount of Haste and I haven't yet seen many that can break the 4-5k Marker with gear on average from ToC 10. I personally think that if you had a solid spec with your current gear you could easily push around the 5k marker if not more when fully raid buffed.
