5/53/13 instead of 0/53/18?

Hello.
I am protection paladin and there is something that i wanna know about.
My build was http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#sVZV0xA0uGusIufdxf0zb (you can see Seals of Pure instead of Vindication or Conviction to reach 3/3 Crusade in ret line). Me and some other guys going icc25 and 10 every week, where we have pally tank that have Vindication allready, and i decided to take Conviction. We also have holly pally that has Divine Sacrifice, so i put 3/5 in Reckoning. And here's a question:

15% more damage from SoV dot's and hit dmg on 5 stacks + judgement / 3% (6 for some types of npc) and 2 crit chance.

Crusade on its own is a larger damage buff than seals of the pure, crusade + the other stuff you need to get it is therefore obviously much better.

crusade is a flat +6% dmg (3% to all kinds of mobs and an additionaly 3% to humaniods and undeads wich is like all mobs in naxx and icc :P)

Essentially you'd be trading 6% damage on your HotR, SHoR, Holy Shield and Consecration for an extra 9% on your Seals and Judgements. And losing Vindication.

It's a threat AND utility loss. Oh, and if you use Seal of Command for any reason, you get zero benefit from Seals of the Pure. It's not that hard of a decision.

Why does it matter if some1 else have divine sacrifice? it's still a cd that can be used by more then 1 pally.

6%dmg with all attacks is better than 15% with just seals and judgement, 6% dmg on seal,judgement,hotr,melee hits,sor,consencration is better imo....

Cuz don't forget that the 6%(almost all mobs in icc undead/humanoids so it's 6% instead of 3%) also effects your seals/judgements aswell so it's just 9% more with seals and judgements if you specc jotp.

there is no reason a prot paladin should ever spec SotP, for actual tanking purposes. PvP prots do all kinds of different things, and thats fine.

But if you are talking about tanking in a raid, MT, OT, OOT, it doesn't matter, SotP should not be used. Ever.

Each point in Reckoning will add about 80 TPS for a 1.6 speed weapon, while it will add about 130 TPS for a 2.6 speed weapon.

If you and your raid truly feel you do not need the raid wall there is no reason not to pick up reckoning.

It's also irrelevant. You have 53 points in prot with literally no play in where to put them. The only reason you take 3/5 conviction is as filler to reach crusade (which trumps reckoning, SotP, and conviction). 53/18 is about as optimal you can get with threat without eating into crucial tanking talents (raidwall included).
