Just starting fury after 3 years of tanking...

I've read all the guides and understand how to do the rotations but my problem is getting comfortable with it.

Any chance i can get a screenshot of somebody's toolbar? What macros do you use? What key bindings?

I've been using the priority system pretty well but it's hard for me to get stuff like HS/Cleave/Execute/DW/Reck off because i can't find a comfortable way to work them on my toolbar. I set up some alerts on PowerAuras to be sure to hit DW/Reck when possible but dont' always work that great, lol

Toolbar switching just exploded my brain, lol.

You use any macros? How about hot keys?

    Most important Macros:

    #showtooltip intercept
    /cast bloodrage
    /cast intercept

Instantly intercepts your current target or damn near it(slight delay) from 0 rage.

    #showtooltip whirlwind
    /attack
    /cast berserker stance
    /cast whirlwind
    /cast cleave

Casts WW and cleave at the same time. Mash this for AOE. Also can be pressed for switching to Berserker stance (why I have it on my main berserker stance bar AND the bar above it).

    #showtooltip charge
    /cast battle stance
    /cast charge

Change to battle stance and charge with one button must be pressed twice. More usefull for PVP as you shouldn't be charging in first on any boss encounters.

If you have a good 245+ weapon slam is higher priority than execute sub 20%, execute only if bloodsurge is not up.

For oh shit moments or surviving lots of damage switch to defensive stance I have it binded on Shift+E

I have Pummel on two keybinds to increase the chance of hitting it in time for an interrupt and I don't really need another ability on there anyways.

I use NeedtoKnow for buff durations (track DBW proc as well for how much time left on it) and EventAlert for slam procs. On my other computer I have grid up for the hell of it.

for example i switch stances with my mouse and ive moved 7 to + to f1-f6

Dont feel like i need macros atm.
Azeroth and Kalimdor and Northrend and Outland

I only use a death wish/berserking macro (troll D, as well as a battle stance/rend macro. Other than that, it just takes a little getting used to. I'd show you my bar, but 3/4 of my hotkeys are hidden

That's my setup. The "POWER" is my slam proc, the Skull and other thing is my DC and WFS trinket procs. The addon is Power Auras. I also use Tellmewhen to track sunders, rend, shout, and indestructible prepot. Sucks having to sunder as fury =(.

p.s. the only macros i use are these (new line each /):

    1. /cast battle stance /cast berserker stance (let's me switch back n forth with one button)
    2. #showtooltip Death Wish /cast death wish /cast blood fury /use Potion of Speed (CD macro, if you prepot like I do, the speed pot will be used on the 2nd DW)
    3. #showtooltip Heroic Throw /cast Heroic Throw /cast Shoot (one button for HT and shooting with a bow/gun/xbow)
    4. #showtooltip Victory Rush /startattack /cast Victory Rush (VR when it's up, otherwise it starts attacking anything in range)

Re: Just starting fury after 3 years of tanking...

I bind my skills to my mouse wheel - which usually provokes mixed reactions.

    http://imgur.com/vj3m1.png

I started using mouse wheel bindings while I was healing as a pally, and got sick of hammering keys to spam FoL. I bound FoL to mouse wheel forward roll, and suddenly became very comfortable with the idea of having all of my main skills potentially available without having to barely move my finger.

Should be self explanatory from the image linked, but my Fury bindings work like so: Roll the wheel forward for Bloodthirst, hold shift and roll it forward for Whirlwind. Roll the wheel back to toggle on Heroic Strike, shift and back for Slam when it procs. Cleave is bound to middle click, with shift and middle click for Execute. Finally Alt + foward roll activates Deathwish, while Alt + back roll activates Recklessness.

Addon wise, the most important one I use for Fury is definitely Power Auras. Besides notifying me when skills are off cooldown, I also use it for the slam proc, and to alert me when I've got >50 rage for Heroic Strike.

I think the most important thing you learn when starting with Fury is not to rage starve yourself. You don't want to have Bloodthirst and Whirlwind off cooldown and not be able to use them because you used Heroic Strike when you didn't have enough rage pooled.

Thanks for the answers everybody. Incredibly helpful. I've got things alot more comfortable now just got to work on getting into the rhythm of the cooldowns and whatnot.
