Making gold with Tailoring post 3.3.3

Now that the cooldown on out specialty cloth is gone, which for me was my biggest incoming from tailroing, how do you plan to make gold with the tailoring profession?

    Two ideas I had

    1) keep selling leg enchants

    2) run random heroics and loot the extra cloth that only tailors can pick up to sell on AH for people who are still leveling first aid.

Are there any other ideas I am forgetting?

That's about it I'm afraid. If you have any recipes from Ulduar/ToC/ICC you might craft items for a fee, at least that's what I tend to do.

    Make spellweave/ebonweave/mooncloth every 4 days.

I would suggest annother profession for gold making, however, I have heard of people that buy cheap frostweave cloth from AH, turning them into spellweave or whatever, and sell it for more in the AH.

I would still suggest other professions if you are after making gold.... (JC+Alchemy comes to mind)

Correct me if I'm wrong (I don't have a tailor by any means), but aren't you just going to be trading one CD for another? Since they took the CD off of your cloth, they put a CD on Glacial Bags. Would it be plausible to try and make money off of selling/using your Glacial Bag CD?

It's still a shorter cooldown than, say, 16 days (unless you buy the extra cloth, or have two tailors, in which case 8 days), but it's really not that bad an idea. Now I need to farm the rep for that pattern; I still don't have that or the purple spellthreads, since it's an alt. XD

Quick note on making the bag:
It requires 4 each of moonshroud and ebonweave, if you're planning on "producing" them (so make them every time CD is up, it might be worth making "a ton" of one type of cloth, and then paying the 200 g or so it costs to switch speciality.

Depends on your server's eternal prices, your initial investment willingness, and your mood :P

You can still do the same sorts of things, you just have to make up for the decreased margins with volume.

Tailoring offers too many perks. So the lack of money making with this profession is acceptable. We can make good usable clothie armor while leveling and at 80, cloaks for all classes, bags for anyone, leg enchantments for self and for all, very good cloak enchants for self, and mounts (self / other tailors).

    Well another option is http://www.wowhead.com/?item=21841

You need 21 so about 1 stack of netherweave cloth and a thread that cost 50s from a vendor which is insanely cheap compared to any other bag. The best part is that the Lvl 70 zones are empty and any decent lvl 80 mage in green gear can blow up a whole camp in about 5sec and still have 95% mana and health.

Now this ofc depends on the price but on my server they still go for around 7-10g and ALOT of people are still buying them for new alt since they are so cheap.

Ewwww, That's a good point. Keep in mind eternal prices might drop faster than you can make bags with your specialty-changing pre-made cloth. Not feeling like doing the math on how many glacial bags make it worth changing specs to mass-produce cloth.

It certainly doesn't make sense to sell cloth of any type other than your specialty now. You'll be able to 1 cloth off the AH cheaper than the mats to make it, from people who get 2 cloth for the same mats. Yuck. I'd prefer they got rid of the specialty effect for LK cloths now that there's no cooldown.

Also, I've never got my feet wet in the glacial bag market, but I expect demand for those 2 extra slots isnt high enough to support bothering with it. With the cloth prices dropping so much people might start getting them instead of frosteave bags, but it's still quite a premium for 2 slots.

Re: Making gold with Tailoring post 3.3.3

Seems that several people are still ignoring the removal of the cooldowns on the Specialist cloths, so while you may not get the "large" fee every 4 days for each of them, you can still get I reckon maybe a few gold each one you craft, a bit more for the one you are specialsed in.
The demand for them should increase so you should get a decent demand for them more consistently.
Should be able to get a decent fee for the bag being on a weekly cooldown now, with the decreased cloth costs that are going to result then that bag will be a more desirable prospect than many people imagine.
The Leg enchants will always have some demand, and with the likely price hike of frozen orbs, then the epics may be a possible idea, or maybe increased demand for the blue ones for that same reason.
