It works. Look over at please-do-not-post-hacking-sites-here, the model-editing section and you will see houndreds of stuff like this. You'll even get swift flight form into the algalon flying mount thingy.
It's bannable, but most people don't get banned.
Seen green fire once over at mmowned, but didnt arse to download it, and now I cant find it.

And if someone has problems with adding the patch into the data folder, rename the patch with "Patch-t" or any other letter, if i remember right.

Even if this does work, from what I read about previous attempts to do this you can change the appearance of your own spell effects but other people won't see it on their screens. Is this any different?

no only you will see it, which is good or ppl would spam reports "wtf is up with my wow" ending up with real and severe bans

From what I have heard, 72 hours is the most likely punishment. They wouldn't permaban for cosmetic changes. Like I said, I play with like 7-8 cosmetic mods, breast enhance, better skin for succy, sexy clothing for females, green fire etc... I have been using them for years now,and never heard anything (Across my 3 accounts)

could you give a link to those cosmetic addons you got? would really appreciate it as some of them sounds really neat

That is the way the WoW System works, it looks for patches in the data folder and activates them in order by name. A patch-z would be the last thing loaded.

No one can see these changes. They effect all warlocks on your server (not just yours)

It changes all warlock spells to green. So warlocks that you see in Bgs, raids, guilds, cities. All of them will also have green fire.

You will see other warlocks cast green fire.

Other warlocks will see themselves cast red fire.

Well, the most you could do is direct people to the site (guildies, friends etc)

Other than that, we would have to wait until Cataclysm.
