The not so random dungeon finder...

I've only been logging on for the daily hc for the two last weeks, and 11/14 dailys turned out to be HoL, with one VH, one Gundrak and one UP in between!

I really don't like HoL (or any of the UD dungeons tbh).
I DO NOT like the randomness of the dungeon finder tool

Just had to get it out there, now let the flaming begin <3

I got Oculus 9 days in a row before quitting the game.

I had more important reasons to do so, but using the Oculus one just won't get old for me.

i get either dtk or occ well over 90% of the time and ive been doing daily randoms everyday but two since they were released. Every once in a great while i can get something else but usually if im fishing when i que i get occ and if im not i get dtk. I dont have the post but blizzard has said that its not completely random but they wont say what it is.

And if it's Gundrak, it's Drak'tharon.

My luck sucks, I haven't seen any tier itmes drop from any VoA boss for druids since the t7 days :P

It's really odd...I usually get HoL/HoS first but Gundrak/Azjol/OK are often too. Another guildies often gets Nexus/Ocu/VH first.
I only get into nexus early (meaning not only after I'm saved to all other instances already) when I queue with this guildy.
I also never seem to get into CoS or Ocu random (only when I queue with another guildie).
I need that damn drake

Maybe they user Account.CreationDate instead of Date.Now for RNG starting seed :P

Having cycles of the same dungeon a few days in a row actually shows the concept works.
It means that the previous result isnt carried over and excluded from the table for the next day etc.
Now one could argue that it should, but then the random concept kinda goes out the window.

I nexus a lot. Its hard for me to say for sure how often but I know its at least half my randoms.

BE HAPPY! I always get CoS as my daily.... and it's STILL boring as hell... :'(

I usually get HoS or HoL. I hate HoS. The 5 minute "boss"event makes me rage just thinking of it.

Out of 24 attempts over the past week on my Holy Paladin, I shit you not:

22 were HoS
2 were VH

Just made an account for this. Been reading on here for a long time now tho.

I had Occulus like 8 times in a row for my daily random heroic
before that i seem to get it 40% of the times
yesterday i even got the blue drake mount drop again!
not that i really mind, its pretty fast and easy but it got me wondering about the random system.
I guess true random generators dont exist, its always a complex math solution?

if someone finds the post plz link it. in it blizz says something about it not being completely random but its not designed around what you hate the most.
